When I thought it couldn't get worse - when it rains it pours. I went on layoff hike with my coworkers to blow off steam, and my car was broken into and up to 6-8K in valuables were taken from me. It hurt like hell. I don't think I've cried more in my life as a man. Luckily I had good community around me to support and process through it all. I went on a Liam Neeson Taken spree to track my belongings back with the police. My mornings have been beyond painful as I blame myself. On Wednesday May 24 around 4AM, I, Bobby, received an email from my employer Meta that I was impacted by the layoffs. It came as a surprise given good performance and my involvement on high impact projects. I processed through the blame and shame as well as the challenges of resting while unemployed. I am looking forward to my next chapter in my career and excited to create more content this year
