In this podcast episode, Paul interviewed Debbie Mauro (group creator, admin and fellow realtor) about her journey from a military family background to building a massive real estate referral network on Facebook. Debbie shared how she grew her Facebook group from 20,000 to 371,000 members over six years, becoming one of the largest real estate networks in the United States. She discussed her transition from a window covering business to real estate, including her recent decision to become a licensed realtor. Despite being removed from real estate Facebook groups for promoting a client management tool, Debbie decided to create her own Facebook group, The Real Estate Agent Referral Network and Marketing Tips, to help realtors generate leads and referrals. Facebook Real Estate Group Growth Debbie shared her success story of building a Facebook group for real estate professionals from 20,000 to 371,000 members over six years, which led to her becoming an influencer for a cloud-based brokerage and obtaining her real estate license. Real Estate Networking Growth Strategies Debbie discussed her successful real estate networking group, which has grown to 371,000 members and functions as a city-sized community for real estate professionals. She shared her strategy of using visual content like maps in Facebook groups to increase engagement, and introduced a new AI tool called Marbleism that helps create social media content. Debbie also described her weekly virtual coffee mastermind meetings, which now attract 75-100 agents and include guest speakers and breakout rooms for relationship building.
