Ryan Dean is a versatile entrepreneur and innovator with a deep commitment to empowering individuals and fostering the growth of emerging businesses. After experiencing a frightening encounter one night after work, Ryan realized the need for a practical self-defense solution that could be carried discreetly at all times. This led him to create Peace Keyper, a unique safety keychain that transforms a standard house key into a multipurpose self-defense tool. Designed with multiple ergonomic grips, Peace Keyper provides users with the ability to defend themselves while keeping their hands better protected, offering invaluable peace of mind. Ryan's entrepreneurial spirit was cultivated at a young age, growing up within a family business where he honed his skills in business and idea development. Over the years, he has channeled this expertise into a wide range of startups, nonprofits, and established businesses, helping them define and reach their strategic objectives. Late one night while walking from the car to his apartment building, Inventor Ryan Dean, got that uneasy feeling you get when someone is watching you. Trying to play it off, he kept heading towards his building, but on the inside, all he could think was ”this is how I die!”. Instinctively, he gripped what he had on hand, his keys.  Ready to attack, Ryan made it to his apartment without the need to but this experience made him wonder how effective a key would be in the event he DID need some protection.  TO THE DRAWING BOARD! After some research, Ryan discovered this method of holding your key was commonly used but often the impact and sharp edges of the key resulted in self inflicting injuries to the hands and fingers including lacerations and even broken bones. Recognizing the value a key that’s already on hand, could be improved for self-defense, he went to the drawing board. DEVELOPMENT After numerous design iterations and continuous feedback from friends, family and self-defense experts, Ryan recruited the help of Christian Brown to design and manufacture Peace KEYper.  Get Yours Today! https://mypeacekeyper.com
Rusty Tussing - Co-owner Rescue Retriever As a brother to a fire firefighter and twin you would think we would both follow the same path. I left the hero stuff to my brother. As Ryan is tough in a fire fight my passion is in business. The connection between the two of us has always been strong. We work tirelessly in our fields of work and excel in high stress environments. In some ways being an entrepreneur is just as hard as a firefighter. We both look after our teams we assemble, instill trust and guidance, make critical decisions, and try to lead everyone to success in life and careers. Our skills have finally come together with Rescue Retriever. The company and Rescue Retriever that we have created not only holds the bond of the love we share as brothers but the love that all our customers have for their pets.  The Rescue Retriever was developed by a 19 year veteran firefighter to alert and limit the precious time needed for firefighters search and rescue efforts. The silent strobing alert system, signals that pet rescue is needed when first responders arrive to your home. With years in the fire service and repeated tragedies to pets, something had to change. We give you Rescue Retriever! Pets are family, our love and passion has brought us to make a difference in pet safety.  The Rescue Retriever is a first of its kind paw shaped smoke detector, designed to aid firefighters and first responders in identifying and rescuing pets in a smoke or fire emergency. A must-have for every pet owner. When smoke is detected, Rescue Retriever will emit an immense strobing light for firefighters to navigate in a "search here first" approach through thick smoke. Pet survival from smoke and fire is crucial to many pet owners. However, during search and rescue operations, firefighters do not have a reliable way to detect a pet is in need of rescue or know where to search first. That's where Rescue Retriever comes in. This small device can make the biggest difference in a pet's survival during an emergency situation. With Rescue Retriever, pet owners can have peace of mind knowing that their furry family members will have a better chance of being rescued. Website: https://rescueretriever.com
ResQ Jewelry started with a simple question: How can we make women feel safer in a world that often feels unsafe?  When Ritvika, outraged by the growing violence against women, turned to her mom, Kavita, they knew they had to do something. What if they could use technology to change this? To turn fear into empowerment?  ResQ wasn’t born in a boardroom—it started with a problem every woman knows too well.  Ritvika and Kavita took that bold idea and ran with it, creating ResQ Jewelry, powerful pieces of tech that are always within reach when you need them most.  Who We Are  We’re a mother-daughter team, and our relationship shapes everything we do. Ritvika has always had a remarkable ability to empathize with others, and her passion for women’s safety fuels the design of our products. Kavita, with her tech background, ensures those ideas are turned into real, functional solutions. It’s a balance that drives us forward, one that blends creativity, empathy, and technical know-how. Our Mission  Our mission is simple: we want to help women feel safer. ResQ is designed to adapt to your needs, and from silent alarms to voice recording, we’ve packed it with tools that make safety easy, without adding stress. We want women to feel confident and free, no matter where they are. Why ResQ?  ResQ stands out because we’ve taken the time to create a product that truly meets the needs of women today. While there are other safety devices out there, we knew we could create something better—something that feels both practical and stylish. Our jewelry offers protection without sacrificing design and gives women peace of mind without compromising their style. Looking Forward  As we continue to grow, we’re committed to making a real impact. Success for us isn’t about sales, it’s about knowing that our product is making a difference. We want to keep innovating, exploring new products, and expanding the conversation around women’s safety.   Our ultimate goal is to help reduce violence against women and make sure every woman has the tools she needs to feel safe, heard, and protected. We’re just getting started, but we’re driven by the belief that small steps can lead to big changes. Website: https://resqjewelry.com
William J. Barna Bolo Stick LLC was founded by William J. Barna, a 33-year police officer, in the aftermath of repetitive critical incidents occurring within schools, churches, medical facilities, manufacturing plants, and public venues around the United States. As a veteran officer and certified Police Academy Instructor, he saw the need for an instantaneous solution to barricade interior doors from unwanted intruders. Thus, the Bolo Stick was created to be a solid steel barricade locking device capable of withstanding forces over 2 tons while maintaining affordability to cash-strapped school systems, churches, mosques, synagogues, and businesses. While Bolo Stick was initially developed with schools in mind, we've also seen it installed in churches, hospitals, and workplaces as companies increase efforts for workplace security in light of recent public shootings. Designed as a barricade The Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI) reports that 69% of the active-shooter incidents studied between 2000 - 2013 lasted less than 5 minutes. Bolo Stick was designed as a barricade to protect human life against unwanted threats. The one-step activation allows for protection in seconds, and the low attachment point on doors prevents unwanted room entry while saving lives. Bolo Stick Endorsements NOCSSM, the National Organization of Church Security and Safety Management Bolo Stick is a member of the Tennessee Sheriffs' Association (Member No. 973751) For more information or to learn how to increase security in your facility, contact us at 330-240-0422 or via email at william.barna@bolostick.com. The widespread prevalence of violence against women remains deeply entrenched and often accepted as a cultural norm. Rachel is dedicated to the crucial mission of challenging and ultimately changing this status quo, drawing from her own personal survival story of assault as an inspiring testament to her commitment. Rachel is an accomplished martial artist with a third-degree black belt in Kempo and a second-degree black belt in a hybrid Japanese jujitsu-based style. In addition to her impressive rank in these disciplines, she dedicates herself to training in Muay Thai, BJJ, Boxing, Kali, and Jeet Kune Do. Before first grade , DaryI went to what was known as the mentally handicapped school, but thanks to his mom she fought with the school board for him to attend regular school. You see Daryl had superpowers even back then that he didn’t realize, kind of like superman as a young boy did. He tended to see everything backwards and recognized things that others didn’t see. He never really gave it much thought but often times it was this edge that enabled him to anticipate the actions of his opponents whether it was on the football field or battlefields.   From Daryl: I believe that every business owner is capable of achieving their highest level of success without the struggle of the grind. I believe your past doesn’t determine your future, it’s simply a map of where you’ve been. When you use the lessons you’ve learned, your past will propel you forward instead of chaining you down. Safe and Sound: Security Talk with Jodi Fisher Jodi Fisher, founder of Go Guarded was inspired to create Go Guarded a few years ago during a solo run in a local park when she inadvertently took a wrong turn and ended up a tad concerned for her personal safety. The sun was setting and she found herself in an unfamiliar and secluded part of the park. While she picked up the pace and found her way to a more populated area, the concern for her personal safety while running, stuck with her. This experience led her on an unfruitful search for safety products for runners. Jodi was actually shocked by the lack of convenient, comfortable, effective options that made sense for runners. Although she had no product development experience at the time, she had (and continues to have) a long background in criminal justice and a good amount of personal safety knowledge. A lot of stressful days and sleepless nights later, Go Guarded was born. Jodi is proud of what Go Guarded has become, and she is proud to be part of a movement where women stand up for themselves. She would love nothing more than to be part of the solution that stops the all too frequent attacks on female runners. Website: https://goguarded.com

Fighting Chance Solutions was formed when a team of educators and entrepreneurs in Iowa conceived an idea to help protect students and teachers in an active shooter or violent intruder scenario by securing the door closer arm found on most classroom doors. The team recognized something was missing when standard classroom security trainings recommended securing doors with belts and barricading doors with bookshelves. Seeking an effective and affordable solution for educators, Fighting Chance Solutions was formally organized in 2013. The Fighting Chance Solutions team collaborated to design and bring The Sleeve into reality. Since then, Fighting Chance Solutions has expanded our product offerings to include the Rampart to secure doors that swing inwards. Fighting Chance Solutions is now proud to serve and protect classrooms, homes, offices, and government institutions in all 50 states. Website: https://fightingchancesolutions.com
