20: Charlotte Fisher, on completing UTS 100miles, imposter syndrome & Running with Purpose

Thrilled to be joined by Charlotte Fisher today. She started running fairly recently, with the goal to run an ultra and raise money for charity in honor of her aunt. Since, she has found her passion and love for long distance trail running. In May, she was one of the 8th women to finish UTS 100miles, a beautiful race, but very challenging with a high DNF rate. We delve into her experience, some of the best and most challenging days of her life, aiming for the finish rather than the podium when it didn’t go her way, meeting people on route, and seeing northern lights. 12: Jen Scotney, Navigating the Unexpected, Resilience and New Horizons

Very happy to welcome Jen Scotney on the podcast today. She is a podcaster, writer, coach, yoga teacher, and mountain leader. She also was a runner and has previously stood on the podium at some of the UK’s toughest ultramarathons, including the 190 mile Northern Traverse race and twice on the 108 winter Montane Spine Challenger. A diagnosis of osteoarthritis that was not related to running, led to two knee replacements, and the end of her running.
