Recap: The Golden Knights hosted the Ottawa Senators for a pre-Thanksgiving matchup at T-Mobile Arena. Ottawa answered quickly into the game to take a 1-0 lead. Vegas pushed back and finally got on the scoreboard with minutes remaining in the period. With seconds left Ottawa regained their two-goal advantage.
Jack Eichel scored his 250th career NHL goal to get his team within one. Ottawa was awarded a late period power play opportunity which Vegas promptly killed off.
In his return from injury captain Mark Stone tied the game 3-3 with a crucial power play goal. After regulation the game needed an overtime and eventually a shootout to decide a winner.
The Golden Knights record drops to 10-5-8 falling to the Senators 4-3 in shootout. Next up, Vegas will welcome the Montreal Canadiens for an afternoon matchup on Black Friday. Puck drop against the Canadiens is scheduled for 1 PM.(Recap by Jason)
Analysis: VGK dug themselves a decent hole in the 1st but went to work the rest of the game to get themselves back in it. They completely shut down the Senators’ attack for the last 40 minutes and were able to get a cheap goal to tie it on the power play (after having many better chances on the previous ones). Overtime was better, shootout was not. (Analysis by Ken)

VGK have earned their 8th loser point of the season. In 23 games.
The most they've ever had in a season is 11.

VGK's PK was massive in this 2nd period. 2 chances, they erased both with ease.

Akira Schmid thought he had the post sealed. He definitely did not.
1-0 OTT on a goal that shouldn't happen to a pee-wee goalie.

Recap: The Golden Knights began a three-game road trip in Utah to face the Mammoth. Vegas was awarded a cross-checking penalty but couldn’t convert their opportunity into a goal. After 20 minutes, the game was locked in a scoreless tie.
Vegas came out hot to start the middle frame. First, Jack Eichel opened the scoring 3:09 into the period, and Ben Hutton followed 19 seconds later. The Mammoth cut the Golden Knights’ lead in half but Eichel regained VGK’s two-goal advantage.
45 seconds into the final 20 minutes, Braeden Bowman scored his third career goal, giving his club a 4-1 lead.
The Golden Knights’ record improves to 10-4-6 defeating the Mammoth 4-1 in Utah. Next, up Vegas will take a short flight to Anaheim before returning back to Utah for another game with the Mammoth. Puck drop against the Ducks is scheduled for Saturday at 7 PM. (Recap by Jason)
Analysis: It’s been a rarity this season, the Golden Knights used a dominant 2nd period to grab and hold of the game. Their details were excellent all night and the offense came to life in the middle frame. From there they basically leaned on the Mammoth and made them look like boys to VGK’s men. (Analysis by Ken)

When the Golden Knights defense is in sync, which it has been for the last 4 or 5 games now, it has a way of making teams think it's harder to get the puck to the net than it is. Utah is falling for it hard tonight.
I'll explain more in the Periscope after the game.
— SinBin.vegas (@SinBinVegas) November 21, 2025
Jack Eichel is absolutely on fire right now.
What a pass to Bowman and he taps it home.
4-1 VGK and this one is turning into a butt kicking.

Monkey off the back.
Eichel may never get an easier scoring chance than that.

— SinBin.vegas (@SinBinVegas) November 21, 2025
Fundamentally sound first 15 minutes here for VGK. Good gaps, strong sticks, great puck support.
It will eventually pay dividends if they can stick with it.

The Golden Knights have lost more games than they’ve won, but they’re also on pace to post 100 points. There’s a lot that causes concern, while also plenty to be excited about. Simply put, it’s been a weird start, and we try to figure it out. Hosted by Ken Boehlke and Jason Pothier.

Recap: The Golden Knights welcomed in the first place Anaheim Ducks for a Pacific Division battle. Vegas took the early edge 5:47 into the opening twenty minutes. Late in the period Anaheim evened the score 1-1.
Midway through the middle frame the Ducks took a 2-1 advantage. Anaheim added to their lead late in the frame to take a two-goal lead into the second intermission.
Pavel Dorofeyev scored a quick power play goal to start off the final period. The Golden Knights continued to pressure the Ducks down the stretch and created several chances and rebounds. Defenseman Kaedan Korczak tied the game 3-3 with his second goal of the season. The game needed overtime to decide a winner. Eventually, the Ducks won the game late in OT.
The Golden Knights record drops to 7-3-4 falling to the Ducks 4-3 in overtime Next up, Vegas will host the two-time reigning champion Florida Panthers on Monday. Puck drop for a rematch of the 2023 Stanley Cup Finals is scheduled for 7 PM. (Recap by Jason)
Analysis: The middle frame was troublesome for the Golden Knights once again and it forced a tall hill to climb against a team that’s growing in confidence in the Anaheim Ducks. VGK turned the tide in the 3rd and looked like the team that has dominated this matchup for the better part of a decade. They were relentless and found a way all the way back to tie it. Unfortunately, another Theodore turnover cost them in overtime. (Analysis by Ken)

The post SinBin.vegas Podcast #342: There Is A Fan Base appeared first on SinBin.vegas.
Recap: The Golden Knights took on the Colorado Avalanche in a Nevada Day afternoon matchup of two of the best teams in the NHL.
On the first shift of the game, Martin Necas scored a goal on Colorado’s first shot. The Golden Knights had a number of good looks to respond but couldn’t find a game-tying goal in the opening frame.
VGK had a bundle of power plays in the 2nd period but the only goal that came from one was by the Avalanche right as one ended. Brock Nelson got a breakaway and beat Carl Lindbom to make it 2-0.
Vegas got a couple more power plays that led to a 4-on-3 in which Tomas Hertl jammed a puck home to cut the lead in half. But, Brent Burns fired one from the slot that restored the two-goal lead for Colorado. A lucky hop on an own goal by Burns got Vegas back within one but the empty netter finished it off.
On the state holiday, the Golden Knights fall 4-2 to Colorado and drop to 6-2-3 on the season. Next up, Vegas will continue the homestand against the Detroit Red Wings. Puck drop on Tuesday is scheduled for 7 PM. (Recap by Ken)
Analysis: The Avs scored on the very first shift of the game and while VGK looked like they were poised to answer quickly it didn’t come. Vegas had a ton of power play looks and finally scored one on a 4-on-3, but special teams was a massive problem in this one. Cassidy is looking for the answers at 5-on-4, but can’t seem to find them. Carl Lindbon’s surprise start went well despite taking the loss. (Analysis by Ken)

Recap: The Golden Knights wrapped up their three game road trip with a matchup with the Carolina Hurricanes. The home team struck first 3:46 into the game. Minutes later Pavel Dorofeyev evened the score 1-1 with his eighth goal of 2025-26. Late in the opening period Dorofeyev added his ninth goal of the season.
Leading 2-1, the Golden Knights turned the puck over leading to a game-tying breakaway. After two periods the game was locked in a 2-2 tie.
Carolina took a 3-2 lead quickly into he final twenty minutes but Vegas answered back. Brett Howden tied the game with his second goal of 2025-26. Jack Eichel took over late as he snapped the tie and extended VGK’s lead to 5-3. Tomas Hertl finished the game off with an empty net score.
The Golden Knights’ record improves to 6-1-3 defeating the Hurricanes 6-3 in Carolina. Next up, Vegas will travel home for a six-game homestand beginning on Friday. Puck drop against the Colorado Avalanche is scheduled for 1 PM. (Recap by Jason)
Analysis: Of the 10 games to open this season, the best two (by a pretty wide margin) have come against the Carolina Hurricanes. It started slowly, again, but it didn’t take too long for VGK to get going in this one. After the first TV timeout they found their skating legs and started to dominate possession of the puck. Carolina wouldn’t go away and there was a massive post that saved the Golden Knights in the 3rd, but the better team won this one. (Analysis by Ken)

— SinBin.vegas (@SinBinVegas) October 29, 2025
Hockey is weird far too often.
That 2nd period may have been VGK's most impressive of the season, certainly their best on the road this year, and they walk away down on the scoreboard in the frame.

The post SinBin.vegas Podcast #341: Undefeated appeared first on SinBin.vegas.
Recap: The Golden Knights welcomed in the NHL’s last remaining undefeated team, the Carolina Hurricanes. Vegas took the first lead of the game 8:42 into the game after a loose puck slipped by the Hurricanes’ goaltender. Jack Eichel was credited with his sixth goal of 2025-26. A couple of shifts later, Pavel Dorofeyev doubled VGK’s advantage with a nifty Peter Forsberg-inspired goal.
Carolina cut Vegas’ lead in half early on in the second period. The Golden Knights held on their tight lead and took a 2-1 advantage into the second intermission.
The Hurricanes had plenty of chances to even the score but couldn’t get one past Vegas goalie Akira Schmid. Ivan Barbashev regained the Golden Knights two goal advantage midway through the final frame. William Karlsson added the empty netter to seal the deal.
The Golden Knights’ record improves to 5-0-2 defeating to formerly undefeated Hurricanes 4-1 at T-Mobile Arena. Next up, Vegas will travel east for a challenging three-game road trip beginning in Sunrise, Florida. Puck drop against the Panthers is scheduled for Saturday at 3 PM. (Recap by Jason)
Analysis: This was the first true test of the season with an undefeated team in the house. Carolina has been rolling teams with their pressure and speed. VGK took a few shifts to get up to speed but once they did they started finding open ice and creating great chances. The game stayed close because Frederik Andersen in the Canes net was fantastic robbing multiple Grade A+ chances. Overall though, an excellent game in all three zones from VGK. Of course, concern remains for the injury to Adin Hill after he was essentially carried down the tunnel after leaving the game. (Analysis by Ken)
