Description

Hi,

My name is Kassandra. I am a licensed mental health counselor who loves to remind everyone that I am human above all else. I post gentle reminders for us to reflect on throughout the week. Most of my episodes are lessons that I took away during the week before or things that I heard that may have resonated with me that I would love to share with y'all.

As a disclaimer, these episodes are not to be used for therapy and may not resonate with every one of you. If that's the case, that is okay- kindly nudge it away.

Sending love and light your way,

Sincerely,
Kass

Routines 101

Hi Millennial :) S4E5 This week we talk about routines in "millennial" terms. As someone with ADHD it's a little hard for my routines to stick but as we break it down, we see that building a "perfect routine" isn't as simple as it seems. Nonetheless, sometimes you just have to start somewhere. Also, remember, setbacks are important :) Subscribing, sharing and following would be the most appreciated :) These episodes are in no way, shape or form therapy and should not be used to professionally treat mental health symptoms. The episodes are for educational and entertainment purposes only. Be sure to check out my instagram pages where I post carousels and reels directly from these episodes. You will also be able to find mental health resources on there as well. Below are some websites to check out in the case you are needing to find a therapist. 1. Affordable therapy: https://openpathcollective.org/ (be sure to change to the appropriate state you currently reside in) 2. Therapy through Insurance: https://www.psychologytoday.com/us 3. https://www.crisistextline.org/ (if you want to text, text the word HOME to 741741 4. Trans Lifeline: (877) 565-8860 5. LGBTQ: https://www.thetrevorproject.org/get-help/ (text 678678 to chat via text - confidentially)
Hi Millennial :) S4E4 This week we learn about capitalism in "millennial" terms. We discuss the definition, examples, and how to get out of the vicious cycles of capitalism. As promised, if you're looking to start investing your money or work on your budgeting a bit more, reach out to Tommy Chen. Tommy works for North Western Mutual and can help you identify your financial goals. You can let him know I referred you ;) C: 917-522-6444 E: tommy.chen@nm.com Be sure to subscribe, share and follow! Hi Millennial :) S4E2 This week we dive into the cost of therapy and how one can learn to navigate without it for the time being. It might be things you've heard already- but my favorite is getting yourself some therapist friends 😅. Hi Millennial :) This week we dive into the dating world, specifically my experience with things such as ghosting and breadcrumbing. I also discuss the possible reasons for why people might ghost you (or why YOU might be ghosting people), and things you can start doing to be mindful of your behaviors while dating. This week we dive more into why sadness and stress might actually be a good thing. Here's how I learned to look at them in a new limelight this week.
What is self love? How can you learn to define and put this into practice? Tune in to listen to how I was able to define this term and things that currently work for me when practicing self care.
In this episode you will hear about how how easily it is to feel like you have regressed. You will also learn some practicals to begin improving your life TODAY.
In this week's episode you can hear about how my personal therapy session went and how I learned what exactly was bringing me into a funk.
I am back and missed recording these for you! I've had so many thoughts bouncing around in my head and figured I would get them out through these segments. There's more to come and it's still a surprise for me but WE'RE GETTING IT DONE!  Life has been chaotic and as a result, so have our emotions/direction. Dive in to listen to tips on where to START figuring out life purpose.
Day 15 of the Gentle Reminder series:  Did you know that being in nature or even seeing landscapes of nature can help reduce anger, fear and stress!? Make it a point to step out in nature today. If that's too much, look out your window and stare at the stars tonight.
Don't exhaust yourselves early in the week. Just do what you can!
Day 13 of the Gentle Reminder series:  Life is short - we know this. What are we doing to be present in the moment with the wonderful relationships we currently have.
Day 12 of the Gentle Reminder series:  We need to be our own cheerleaders!
Day 11 of the Gentle Reminder series:  Priorities help keep us organized and ultimately, more clear headed. Make a list of the things you need to tackle on MOST today as opposed to trying to get everything done.
Day 10 of the Gentle Reminder series:  We all grow up establishing core beliefs about ourselves based off of our upbringing and overall experiences. Your core beliefs, which may look a lot like limiting thoughts, could be the very thing blocking you from experiencing new blessings.
Day 9 of the Gentle Reminder series:  We are often times so caught up in the moment that we don't take the time to actually process whether the company we keep is actually beneficial for us or not. Listen in to explore  the concept of "auditing" and how we can begin to do that with our relationships STARTING TODAY!
Day 8 of the gentle reminder series:  Remaining in the present moment allows for more control over what happens in your life. When is the blast time you remained in the moment?
Day 7 of the Gentle Reminder Series:  Engaging in gratitude actually does a lot more good for our well-being than we think. Next time you feel it won't benefit you or those around you, THINK AGAIN!
Day 6 of the Gentle Reminder Series:  We need to start counting ourselves in the game because we are our greatest prized possession! Let's start acting like it.
