When Nicole gets up the next day her mom is ready to go to town, and Nicole decides to stay home. She goes to the barn and gets the book out of the book to see if it has any answers about what is going on.

Bernice is cold and excited as she gets home, and Bernice Prepares for the Holidays. She knows that falling snow means snowballs with Bobby the next day. Bernice and Papa talk about traditions for this time of year and how they show people they care about them after Bobby tells her he is getting something very fancy for his parents, and Bernice knows she can’t. Papa Bear and Bernice talk about how they can show people they care about them.
Bernice is feeling a bit anxious about singing at the Winter show, especially since Bobby said what he did. She talks to Papa Bear about it as they have their snack, and Papa Bear makes her feel much better.

Nicole cannot believe what has just happened. As she walks back into her garden again, she stops and thinks about it, not sure how to describe it. When she gets back to the house, she asks her mom what is for lunch, and her mom says it is dinner time. She has been gone all day. How is that possible?
Bobby is very excited about the science project he has decided to make. The teacher said they should build something that reflects what they have learned. Bobby realizes that they haven’t learned much about Robots yet, but he has a great idea that he is sure he can build. He calls Bernice to chat about it, and she listens to his idea and wonders if he can finish it in time.
Libby loves art, but when a boy in her art class is not very nice to her, she starts to doubt herself. When she gets home, she chats with Margherita about what happened in class, and then they work together to help Libby feel better.

Nicole’s mom stayed up late reading and thinking about everything she had seen and went to bed after revisiting the garden. Nicole got up, ate, and headed to the garden, where she had seen a light. The garden greets her as she looks for where the light has come from. She talks to the plants as she looks around, realizing the light came from a large sunflower. Looking at the light, she thinks it looks like a reflection, and this sends her thoughts back to the box in the barn and the things she found inside. When she gets to the barn, her eyes go right to the compass. Could this be what she was supposed to find?

Bernice loves her cat Cookie very much and is excited to tell her friends about her. When she gets home from school, she tells Papa Bear that something happened at school when she was telling her friends all about Cookie. The new boy could have been nicer. Bernice and Papa Bear discussed what happened and how Bernice handled the situation.

In this part, Nicole’s mom cannot stop reading and looking over the old documents they found in the attic. When she realizes it is almost morning, she gets up to go to bed but needs another trip to the garden, as it is pulling her out there. When Nicole wakes, she realizes the house is quiet and wonders where her mom could be. She eats breakfast and then heads out to the garden to see what light is catching her eye.

Red heads off to school to try and think things through before meeting with the gang at lunchtime. Can she tell them more about herself and about being from Mars, or will they just not believe her?
Bobby and the Dinosaurs is a story about Bernice’s friend Bobby and what he decides to do on a rainy day. Bobby wakes up and has his day all planned until he looks out the window and sees the pouring rain. Bobby’s world has ended, and he has no idea what he can do now. His mom suggests a science project, but Bobby says he doesn’t like science anymore, so he decides to build a time machine and return to visit the dinosaurs. He heads off to his room to see what he needs for the machine.

I love Bernice makes dumplings out of all the Bernice stories. Also, the stories are very interesting and make me go to bed very easily, I also recommend them to people who can't fall asleep. Best stories ever created. Also love the person who says the story because of their calming voice, soothing voice, and their softness of their voice.
