I would love to hear your thoughts on this episode's poll. What's your take on the role of your own perception on how you feel about a difficult event?
Going home for the holidays is a great feeling for some. But for others, it’s a feeling of discomfort and even dread. Choosing to not go home for the holidays or visit some people can be a decision that comes with a lot of feelings - doubt, guilt, frustration, and burn out. This used to be my emotional experience. Since then, I’ve done a lot of work to honor my goals, growth, and happiness during the holiday season. You can too.
In this episode, I talk about:
The reason I don’t always go home for the holidays (or any other event, etc.)
The two main factors that contribute to my reason
The honest truth about what really creates your happiness during the holidays

Healing advice - you see it everywhere and from everyone. Whether it’s from friends, family, therapists, mentors, coaches, or a person you don’t know on the internet, people who want to help you feel better will share healing advice. I started my own healing and transformation journey over a decade ago, and I’ve heard it all. Some advice helped, and others really did not.
In this episode, I share 4 pieces of healing advice that never worked for me versus what did when it came to turning around my life and healing from toxic relationships and feeling hurt by the actions of others.
In this episode, I talk about:
How to know if a piece of healing advice is best for you and your situation
Acceptance vs. tolerance of other people’s actions and where they are at in life
Alternative perspectives to get better after a difficult relationship
How to disentangle yourself from dysfunctional people and situatons
The most helpful question you can ask yourself to find out if a piece of healing advice fits well for your situation
Enjoy!

Welcome to Season 4! Gratitude is often thought of an ‘OG happiness tool’ by therapists, researchers, coaches and mentors, and pretty much anyone else who wants to help you with feeling better about life. Why? Because practicing gratitude works at improving our well being.
Despite all the research and books written about the power of gratitude, there’s a lived experience about practicing gratitude that I often don’t see talked about. The truth is that for many people (including myself), practicing gratitude hasn’t always brought on a happier feeling about life. We might go through the steps of gratitude, but not really get there in feeling. If this is your experience, then I know you’ll love this episode.
In this episode, I talk about:
What is gratitude
What blocks you from getting to a true state of feeling grateful
5 things that you may have not considered that can help you get to gratitude now
2 things I believe are most important to helping you feel grateful and happy even if you aren’t truly grateful for ‘everything’
My new guided journal-book hybrid, This Is Gratitude
Enjoy!

In today’s episode, I hold an incredible conversation with Erika Mason about boundaries. Erika is a holistic Occupational Therapist, spiritual and energetic coach and healer, Akashic Record consultant, and more. In What you might not know about boundaries, we discuss:
My new book, Happy Boundaries, coming out later in June 2024
How boundaries relate to your emotional, psychological, and physical health
What your energetic and chakra system can tell you about your boundaries
How to effectively navigate feelings or guilt and anger surrounding boundaries and when people don’t respect yours
What boundaries (and lack thereof) mean for your soul and your spiritual growth
How boundaries come into play as a parent, partner, friend, and individual
How to heal from people who criticize, disrespect, and dislike your boundaries (what I call, Boundary Resisters)
