Hello!  I am super excited to be joined today with internationally famous author and spiritualist Paul Selig.  We will be discussing his latest book The Book of Mastery - The Mastery Trilogy: Book 1.    Most of us are searching for the path to happiness. Whether we are seeking wealth, relationships, or spiritual enlightenment, our shared endeavor to achieve fulfillment is what defines us.  But, how do we know if we are focusing our efforts in the right palces?   Documenting twenty-seven supernatural channeling sessions, The Book of Mastery will lead readers on an unprecedented journey of self-development.  As the Guides themselves put it:  "We will tell you this:  No one who reads these books will be left unchanged." Paul Selig himself leads a double life:  When he's not transcending the ordinary plane of perception in order to read people's inner thoughts, he teaches playwriting at NYU.  The clairvoyant says that he's been able to channel people's spirit guides for twenty years but only started taking clients recently.     Paul is also author to several other books including - I Am the Word, The Book of Love and Creation and The Book of Knowing and Worth.  You can reach him at www.paulselig.com.     This should be a very interesting interview - I hope you can listen in!   If you have any questions for me you can contact me at amlovegren@aol.com   - Peace out, Andrea
Hello and welcome to Mindful Shift !  Today I am excited to be joined by Jeremy Stuart & Brad Abrahams who are creating a most awesome science documentary called On the Back of A Tiger.   This is a outside of the box thinking project and very important that we look at these issues.  Why science needs to be set free!  Brad and Jeremy come from the commercial production & advertising world. After witnessing friends and family struggle with health issues and seeing the rampant dysfunction in the scientific and medical establishments, they decided it was high time to use their skills for a greater good.  For the past 2 years they have been working on the upcoming feature documentary “On the Back of a Tiger”. In which a group of maverick scientists weave an alternate story of life, from the molecular level to consciousness and perception. We meet a fast-growing group of health seekers who’ve adapted their diet and lifestyle (in seemingly bizarre ways) based on these theories, with dramatic results. While unconventional to the extreme, this new paradigm could forever change our understanding of aging, disease, and nutrition. You can check them out at PerceiveThinkAct.com.
Today I am so excited to be joined by author Jennifer Iacovelli who wrote the beautiful  Simple Giving - Easy Ways to Give Every Day - 40 Ideas to Make Your World a Better Place.  I recieved this book in the mail right after getting back from the 2015 Water Conference (more on that later!).  It was the perfect gift and way to restart my program.  I started Mindful Shift after taking a leadership course from Dr. Riane Eislers Caring Economics Program.  It got me to focus on what I really wanted to do and how to make a difference from a heart based place.  The phrase 'do what you love and find a way to get paid for it', or some versions of this, always sounds slightly off to me.  I am looking forward to talking to Jennifer about this and so much more!   Jennifer is more than a writer, she is a speaker and consultant.  She has worked in the nonprofit sector, handling communications and fund-raising, for more than ten years and writes about philanthropy on her blogs Another Jennifer and Simple Giving Labs.  As chief engagement officer of the Another Jennifer Writing Lab, Jennifer helps entrepreneurs, bloggers and nonprofits tell their story.  She writes for Mom Bloggers for Social Good as part of the Global Team of 200 and is a regular contributor to World Moms Blog and HuffPost Divorce.  Jennifer is also contributing author of the book The Mother of All Meltdowns.  Her work has been featured on GOOD, BlogHer, USAID Impact, Feed the Future, and the PSI Impact Blog.  She is based in Brunswick, Maine.  That is awesome!   I am looking forward to this!!   For more info check out Jennifers website at simplegivinglab.com or her book at tarcherbooks.com.   Peace and sparkles, Andrea

Today we will be joined by Joan Maloof who wrote the amazing "Teaching the Trees: Lessons from the Forest".  This is a wonderful, detailed description of the entire systems of the forest starting with the tree, how is just a stand of trees different from a forest and why is it important.  I loved this book!  She can explain why every part of the system matters.   Joan studied Plant Science at the University of Delaware, Environmental Science at the University of Maryland Eastern Shore, and Ecology at the University of Maryland College Park. She has published research articles about pollination biology in the journals Ecology and The American Journal of Botany (among others). Since 2002 she has expanded her ecological studies into the forest. Her book "Teaching the Trees: Lessons from the Forest" (University of Georgia Press, 2005) won an Honorable Mention from the Association for the Study of Literature and the Environment. Her second book, "Among the Ancients: Adventures in the Eastern Old-Growth Forests," was published in April 2011 by Ruka Press. Joan is currently developing a network of forests across the US which will remain forever unlogged and open to the public, called the Old-Growth Forest Network. Please visit the webpage: www.oldgrowthforest.net for more information.  Please join us!        If you have any questions or comments for me contact me at amlovegren@aol.com.  I would love to hear from you!  Be sure and mark it Mindful Shift - peace out, Andrea
Today I am so happy to be joined byTiffany Kim an amazing woman I met through Dr. Riane Eisler's Leadership course in Caring Economics.  Tiffany received her M.A. in Transformative Leadership from the California Institute of Integral Studies (CIIS) in May 2014.  She is currently completing her doctorates in Transformative Studies at CIIS, with a focus in sustainability, consciousness, and healing.  She is the founder of Project M.E.N.D. (Mother, Earth, Nature, & Divine), which is an experiential community events project with the intention of deeply immersing people into their environment to learn about sustainability.  She also co-founded the Fur-Angel Foundation, an animal rescue that helps rehome abused, neglected, and needy dogs in the state of Hawaii.  This should be an amazing interview!
Today I will be joined by Cielito Pascual.  She is a new friend and an activist in the Seattle area.  But, if you want to know what is going on in the world, and how to get involved, Cielito can tell us! Cielito Pascual is a Seattle-based activist who has dedicated her life to sharing a message of hope inspired by the information originating from the Share International Foundation. She says that transforming our world will only be possible when the spiritual principal of sharing becomes the basis of our global economic system. When that happens, all hunger will be abolished, and war can become a thing of the past. All of this is possible, she says, because humanity has help of an extraordinary kind--help from the spiritual kingdom known as the Masters of Wisdom. These Masters are emerging into full public life at this time to work directly with humanity, led by their own master teacher, Maitreya, the World Teacher for all Humanity. With this in mind, it's easy to see that humanity is at an unprecedented crossroads. Cielito will share her personal experience with this remarkable story and let us know how each and every person can play a part in this world-changing event. -- New Hope is in the World For All Maitreya Steps Forward http://www.share-international.org/av/av_main.htm
Today I will be joined be bestselling author and Chief Scientist at the Institute of Noetic Sciences Dean Radin.  He is also volunteer faculty in the Dept of Psychologyat Sonoma State University. Before joining the research staff at IONS in 2001, he held appointments at AT&T Bell Labs, Princeton University, University of Edinburgh, and SRI International. He is author or coauthor of over 200 technical and popular articles, a dozen book chapters, and three books.  He is a researcher and author in the field of parapsychology.  He wrote the wonderful Entangled Minds - Extrasensory Experiences in a Quantum Reality, The Conscious Universe and most recently Supernormal: Science, Yoga, and the Evidence for Extraordinary Psychic Abilities. His most recent book Supernormal just won the Silver Nautilus Book Award. I read Entangled Minds for the first time, just a few months ago, and wow, was knocked over.  This book is just common sense at this point.  And this really brings parapsychology into the everyday world.   He is a leader in probing the far reaches of human consciousness, principally psi phenomena, using the tools and techniques of science.  This makes me so happy that in my lifetime this is finally a legitimate science, and a field that is being seriously considered as we look for answers in the unusual time in our history.  Please join us!
I am super excited to be joined today by author Dr. Joseph Gallenberger who wrote the book Inner Vegas - creating miracles, abundance and health.   This was a book I was slow to warm up to, Vegas is not my thing, but the focus of this book is focus!  The inner journey and how to utilize your minds ability to achieve what you want in this world.  Dr. Gallenberger takes us on a journey of consciousness into the wild world of psyckokinesis (PK) where mind energized by the heart influences matter, resulting in seeds growing in a few minutes, lights lighting without being plugged into electricity, metal bending with a thought, rolling what you are thinking on dice, and where micacle healings become possible.  Inner Vegas is a guide to using scientifically-proven psychic abilities to create miracles in your life.  It is grounded in science, experience, and astounding stories of sucess.  Dr. Joe is a clinical psychologist with 30 years experience.  A dynamic, heart-driven speaker, Dr. Gallenberger is in demand internationally on topics such psychokinesis, energy healing, and manifestation.  He is a senior facilitator at the Monroe Institute and created its highly successful MC2 program.  He developed SyncCreation: a home study course in manifestation, and he teaches his Inner Vegas Adventure workshops in Las Vegas.   I hope you can join in!   Questions or comments for me - amlovegren@aol.com    - peace out!
Today I am joined by healer Cheryl Weekes.  Cheryl is the author of several books on healing, Taming Neuropathy and Taming your Pain.  Both books deal with the real life situation of dealing with chronic pain.  Cheryl suffered terribly from Neuropathy and through a Mindful practice was able to take her pain from a 10 to a 1.  She will explain how she can to this understanding, how to utilize these skills in your own life.  I met Cheryl at Rupert Sheldrake group studing mind over matter - so to speak!  She shared with me that after taking a course from healer Eric Pearl, she was able to help people in a more profound way and I can't wait to hear more about this process.  Hope you can join in! If you have any comments or questions for me?  Email me at amlovegren@aol.com.  Thank you!   Peace out, Andrea
Today I am very excited to be joined by Roxanne from Earthship Seattle  Check out their website at www.EarthshipSeattle.org.  Hope you can join in! "Roxanne Fonder Reeve is a sparkly urban bohemian whose passions are communicating, cooking and creating community. Building a studio out of trash and at a cost of zero is the latest and largest project in her quest for Love, Truth, and Beauty. She lives with two of her three splendidly weird children in South Seattle." The vision of the current project can be found on the facebook description, which reads   One hundred twenty square feet of urban construction, sustainably, beautifully built from trash. Follow the project from design to completion. Description In the heart of Seattle, the neighborhood of Columbia City has an amazing project happening in the fall of 2014. On a private lot, we're building a small shed out of Seattle's trash.  We envision a community resource, showing school children what can be created with things that would otherwise be thrown away. It all started at a meetup of Earthship enthusiasts in July. Jamie said, "we need a place to build a proof of concept project in the city." Roxanne said, "I have a house in the city! Let's do it." And so it began... If you'd like some background on Radically Sustainable Building techniques, we recommend you watch Garbage Warrior, an engaging documentary on the passion of Mike Reynolds, for creating a completely different paradigm for human living. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=tmy_QipSQhc Questions or comments for me?   email me at amlovegren@aol.com  Peace out, Andrea

Today I will be joined by Author Cate Montana.  She wrote the wonderful book Unearthing Venus - My search for the woman within.  This book really hits at the Heart of the problem.  The male donminance of modern society.  Where is the feminine energy and the caring?  Cate was born in the post-war baby boom. Daughter and granddaughter of college-educated woman, she was steeped in the conservative values of 1950's upper-middle classs America.  Cate later became a liberated woman.  Beginning a career in broadcasting after college in 1973, she broke into the elite male bastion of sports television as a freelance editor within four years for NBC, ABC and CBS.  By 1981 she was living the ulitmate vision of the second wave of feminist: fabulous career, gorgeous condo, an attentive lover and all the freedom in the world.  But what she didn't know, and was soon to find out, was that being a successful woman didn't neccessarily mean being a success as a woman. A long dark night of the soul followed the break-up of her second marriage. Then a chance encounter with a shaman changed everything.  Challenged to plumb the depths of her own feminine nate, she began a quest that would take her from her comfortable home in rural Washington inthe the heart of the Amazon jungle, up the staggering peaks in the Andes, and halfway across the globe to the consecration of a temple to the Great Goddess in Southern India.  Opening heart and mind, she surrendered to mysteries long unexplored and forgotten....  Join us today as we discuss the uncharted territories of the feminine soul, and travel from a conventional life to one of authenticity, deeper meaning, and ultimately the bliss of being alive.
Sorry for the confusion!  Author Philip Comella will be joined with us today!  He is the author of the amazing book The Collapse of Materialism - visions of science, dreams of God. We will cover everything from Darwin, the big bang theory and something he is calling the Real Dream. Can human consciousness be explained by Darwin and material science?  Material science has been the accepted science for too long now.  This book takes a detailed look at the different approaches to answer our most basic questions and how it is only a dream.  Philip calles it the Real Dream and explains why.  These are tough concepts, but truth.  We are living spirits not material bodies and our mind and thoughts create our reality.  Philip is a lawyer, visionary futurist, and host of the popular radio show Conversations Beyond Science and Religion, podcast at www.webtalkradio.net.  This book is the culmination of decades of work committed to developing a new and credible scientific paradigm to unify the physical world of science and the metaphysics of religion.   This should be an very interesting conversation, I hope you can join in!   If you have any comments or questions for me, or guest ideas, please feel free to email me at amlovegren@aol.com.  Peace out, Andrea
Well!  My goodness, finally!  I am very happy to be joined by Prof. Karen Liftin from the University of Washington.  I say finally, because I have been trying to book Dr. Litfin since last spring.  She had a crazy busy schedule and then, well I moved to Idaho for six weeks and it didn't happen.  So, she is a very welcome guest and I am excited to talk to her about her book EcoVillages - Lessons for Sustainable Community.  I think is is a guide book for people getting back in touch with real reality.  We are supposed to live together in my humble opinion.  The story of separation is over, basically we can ask ourselves 'how is is working for you?" It really didn't for my life and living in an ecovillage is a dream for me.  They are gaining in popularity and the ones that Karen visited are templelates for how to do this.  She covers a variety of styles to give us an example that there is no one way or right way to do this.  In fact, the area, the people the objectives of the community all play an important role in how the village comes together.  We need this training, we need to come back to the earth to feed and shelter us.  Moving with the energies of the earth and the people who live on her, instead of fighting against nature and eachother.  In this inspiring and insightful book, Karen Litfin shares her unique experience of these experiments in sustainable living through four broad windows - ecology, economics, community, and consciousness - or E2C2. Karen T. Litfin is Associate Professor of Political Science at the University of Washington.  To learn more, visit the book's accompanying website at www.ecovillagebook.com
