Now what? Plurality goes off the rails spiritually when a Hindu temple is erecting a 90 foot statue of a Hindu God down in Texas, still a state of the union last I heard. It's going down so fast it seems. Then we discuss some freedoms of speech and religion that are also going the way of the phone booth - only with greatly significant consequences. Suppose God is removing His hand of protection from idolatrous Americans? Although we are not a Christian nation under the banner of salvation, we have held high the freedom, morals, and good neighborliness that love requires for our entire existence. Tim and Mary take a look at the current news cycle in light of some of the more unusual stories of late.  The UN did something very unusual in passing a resolution favorable to Trump and his peace plan. The strangeness lies in creating a Peace Board with him at the head, and an international force in Gaza. They still don't have any idea as to where a Palestinian state might end up, or who might be heading up this force, but details rarely matter anymore. We also look at the soon-to-conclude Climate Summit and find out what they are up to minus US support. We talk about those powerful data centers, and why people are starting to revolt over the cost to build and to run them. From the further Islamization of Texas to Ai toys for the holiday from China, again we have to wonder to ourselves not just why things are so strange of late, but can they get any stranger?

Mary welcomes back author, apologist and speaker Holly Pivec for a timely conversation about the New Apostolic Reformation - which has become more of a revolution if you look at the numbers. And yet so many believers have never heard of it. So today we look at the basics: what it is, what it isn't, and how to recognize it will take a bit of effort since it isn't a specific church or denomination. We look at how it intersects with politics and why. If Christians think that the gospel they see in today's politics is pure, they really need to think again, since the NAR is bent on taking over every system of the world. Does that sound as crazy to you reading it as it did to me writing it? It should, because dominion theology says that Christians must take over the world before Jesus can return. And yes, that IS crazy because Jesus isn't a hostage in heaven waiting for us to overtake politics. We also talk about revival: what might that look like here in 2025, with the NAR being opportunistic in nature, that wherever there are whispers of revival, there they must be. Christians must be armed with this information or they risk being deceived, it really is that simple. If a claim of revival turns out to be fake, are we trying to assign the Holy Spirit to something He has not initiated? How can that not be perilous to believers? PASTOR CLAUDE STAUFFER Mary welcomes back Pastor Claude to talk about the seasonal occultic holiday we have all come to know as Halloween. Should we or shouldn't we participate, that's an old debate but really, there are solid answers because the Bible doesn't leave us in the dark about anything for life and godliness - and shining a light on the dark is what we are called to do. With that in mind, Pastor Claude takes the analogy of the hot stove to describe how easily and subtly we can get burned by dabbling in the occult - and Halloween is just that. Is it just a silly and harmless day to celebrate the occult (more like a month now)? If it is, what does God's Word say about that? Objections might look like this: "I had a great time on Halloween as a kid. It's fun and harmless". So let's say that's true, that you had fun. We want that for our kids, as long as it doesn't hurt them. But equating this day with "harmless" isn't sound thinking and here's why: by teaching our precious kids that dabbling in the occult is harmless at a young age, we leave them open later in life to entertain the notion that astrology, altered states, necromancy, ouija boards and any New Age practices are also harmless. If I think like the devil, I'm thrilled that parents have dropped their guard to give place to dark arts. Paul tells the Ephesians to walk in such a way that wisdom marks our path. He then says to redeem our time, for the "days are evil". If they were evil then, we know that we know they are evil now. In fact, the days of Noah were evil plus - and so shall our days be. So what are we watching this week? It will be different tomorrow probably, and next week as well. We went from weekly newspapers in large cities back in the 19th century, to daily in the last century, to non-stop today and newspapers are not even read anymore. In light of all of this, we talk about redeeming the time in a very encouraging article to start us out.
