In today's solo episode, I open up about the ongoing evolution of my grief journey after losing my husband, Paul. I reflect on how my grief has shifted over time—from a gaping wound to a quiet, ever-present companion. It hasn't been easy. The emotional challenges, the deep inner work, and the conscious choices I've had to make are all part of this path toward finding moments of peace and even joy. I share from the heart about how grief transforms as life moves forward, how healing doesn't mean forgetting, and why it's so important to honor your own unique process. Whether you're just beginning your grief journey or have been walking it for years, I hope this episode brings you comfort, understanding, and a reminder that healing is possible—even when it feels out of reach. In this touching episode of Tendrils of Grief, we sit down with Molly, founder of Birthdays from Beyond, to explore the healing power of preserving love and memories in the face of loss. When Molly's father was diagnosed with cancer, she was struck by the painful realization that he wouldn't be there to celebrate future birthdays with her. Wanting to hold onto his presence, she gave him a stack of blank cards and asked him to write birthday messages for the years to come. Molly shares how this act of love became a mission—to help others capture meaningful messages, memories, and life lessons from their parents or grandparents, allowing those words to be treasured for years to come. In this episode, we talk about: How grief inspired Molly's vision The importance of creating emotional keepsakes Navigating anticipatory loss with intention The legacy of love through written words This conversation is a powerful reminder that even after loss, connection and comfort can continue in meaningful and lasting ways.
