Today I speak on the importance of building, and working with, a team when trying to accomplish your goals. It is tough to do all that is required to be successful on your own. In today’s economy, plenty of people are putting out high quality work thanks to the multiple hands they have on deck to help out. This will be the first talk of many I do regarding the importance of finding a team so look out for future podcasts to come!
Hop on social media today and you'll see a world full of people who are trying to sell you courses on how to pursue music, how to produce music, and how to be a musician. Is it too much? Has it killed the joy of being a musician? While the opportunities are endless, and the information out there is great, I am interested in connecting with musicians who are overwhelmed with the expectations musicians now have to be successful in today's digital age. I am looking to open a conversation around the bombardment of media thrown at us without necessarily offering a solution.
Strive for multiple goals in life. You don't want to find yourself achieving one goal and see that other areas of life are neglected. If you want to feel overall great understand it will take considering all areas of life to be built as opposed to obsessing over one.
In this talk I describe how to reduce your ego in the music process. This is meant for those who struggle to create because behind the scenes they believe they need the validation as a songwriter or musician. They may be afraid to admit it but it exists and unlocking this may be the key to producing music that actually means something to them and others around them.

Tune into what you’re envious about. This will help you figure out what you want, how to get it, and what it’s like to have that one thing. You can envious of people who are happier than you, more wealthy than you, smarter than you.. who cares. Use this envy as a means of narrowing your focus on one thing you know you want (you can literally feel that emotion in your body). But don’t get ugly with this emotion. Hide and protect it. It’s a fuel source. A fuel source that could also cause you to blow up if too much gets out into the air.
Be more decisive in your life. It’ll make things more simple for you when you start knowing what you will and won’t tolerate.
In this podcast I talk about getting your substance use under control. I go into detail about what it’s like when you’re using recreational drugs or alcohol and you’re letting the negative side affects get the best of you.
People always wonder how to live a better life. Well I believe that you need to start saying no more often. Say “no” to the poor habits that screw you over, say “no” to the people you really don’t like being around, etc. You have more power than you think to change your experience in life.
We all have cravings. How do you overcome them though? How do you stop a bad habit from ruining your success? It starts with you. Listen in and learn how you can benefit from this message 👍🏻
The challenges you face are all mental. Convince yourself there is more benefit then loss in what you need to do
I challenge you to express yourself daily. Write some of your thoughts down daily, speak your mind daily. See what comes out of you when you are alone. We’re so “good” at inputting information in our brain but we are not good at organizing it and expressing it back out. I’m saying practice the way you communicate, the way by you write, the way you show emotion, and more. We’re waiting for life to gift us with a magical way to express ourselves and we’ve forgotten that it takes practice to express ourselves the way we want to. It’s worth pondering and experimenting with. The best speakers in the world, athletes, and presidents practiced in private before they chose to express themselves publicly. They executed because they perfected their method of self-expression.
Who do you look up to or envy? Would you like to be like them? Maybe their life seems to be more intact than yours does. I’ll bet that you’re not far from living your own best life. You just need the right set of habits to start feeling like you’re in control again. These habits are eating and drinking enough water and food, getting enough rest, and resisting the temptation to find short term gratification (I.e. substance use, addictions, etc.). Have the honest conversation with yourself about what you’ve done wrong and really wish to do more of what you know is right. That’s a private conversation we all must have if we want to be better. There is no convincing other people you are okay. There’s only convincing yourself. Enjoy!
