This was my first time competing in Kona.I was super lucky that I have one of the hubs about 10 minutes away from my house.I was expecting it like a party the whole week and it kind of was quiet.I was surprised it was so small, but kind of was like, you know, this is the last time it's going to be like this.I was really trying to keep my form, but it was just very difficult when you were always hitting someone else's leg or arm.I was in survival mode already.I was trying to remind myself of where I was and how incredible this is and why I wanted to do it.I was loaded up with sunscreen and it seems like I had an allergic reaction to the mineral sunscreen.I had to stop maybe 30 miles into the bike, I think from just the sea water.I spent a lot of time with precision nutrition and some other coaches that I'm friends with.
