Join Clare Brooke, EMEA Sustainability Manager at Boston Scientific talking about how she has recently transitioned into her first Sustainability Manager role which is allowing her to bring her passion for climate and biodiversity loss together with her professional career. Clare shares how bringing these two things together has its challenges explaining ‘it feels very personal, and I feel it’s so important I can do what I can, so I can say to my son, I can look him in the eye and say I did what I could.’
We touch on the challenge of perfectionism and how focusing on small wins as well as collaboration with others who ‘get it’ are key to making an impact in sustainability. Being a keen runner and sharing her passions with her husband along with investing in a professional coach are just some of the ways Clare manages the emotions of working in this space.
