#5: Today I’m speaking to Julie Konrad of Cleveland Ayurveda. Julie is a certified Hatha Yoga Instructor and Ayurvedic Health Counselor. She has completed 650-hours of coursework in Ayurvedic Health and is certified as an Ayurvedic Health Counselor with the Himalayan Institute.
Ayurveda is the oldest continuously practiced medical system in the world, and the original medicine based on circadian rhythms. It originated in India over 5,000 years ago! This practice comes from the understanding of nature’s rhythms and laws.
In this episode we discuss the basics of Ayurveda including the three doshas (vata, pitta, kapha) and the most important principles to know about Ayurveda. We also talk a lot about balance and discuss vikrati (imbalance) and tactical steps to find alignment in your life!
