Change is a constant thing in life - it happens around you and to you as well. Join Jody & Alex as they discuss some of the many, many changes that they have faced individually and together. Along the way they'll share some of the practices they've used to embrace these changes instead of resisting them.
Join Jody and Alex today as they discuss the importance of sleep in your self-love practice and share stories about their time when good sleep was a distant memory. Beyond tired, beyond exhausted, there are layers of sleep deprivation where all you can do is just survive. Sleep plays a huge role in your life, so look to sleep with love and treat it as the single-most important aspect of your self-love and self-care.
Jody & Alex have already talked about some of their own challenges, and today they want to share how those same challenges are affecting their kids. Sometimes we forget that in addition to whatever our children are going through, they are also experiencing challenges that you are going through too - even though we may not think that they are.
Today is all about challenges - even ones like getting this podcast recorded and uploaded on time! Join Jody & Alex as they talk about challenges, sharing stories about their own struggles - both as a couple and as their own selves. Along the way they'll also talk about what they did (or are currently doing) to meet these challenges and rise above them, with love.

In today's episode, Jody & Alex bid you all a fond farewell as they take the remainder of the year to reflect on 2019, recharge, and plan the next steps for The His & Her Show for 2020. We've all been there, where we too busy "doing" to see where we are going, so it's important that when you realize you've been on a bit of hamster wheel for a while, it's time to get off, slowdown, and spend some of that time in self-reflection - strengthening that most important relationship - the on...
In this super-special episode, Jody & Alex take their recording equipment outside to talk with Eva May, Kelly Birch-Baker, and Lindsey Hartung at their place of work 'n play: Emmanuel at Brighton Child Care Centre. Today, join Jody & Alex as they share their new favourite mantra and how it has changed the way they look at every day trials and tribulations. We've all caught ourselves doing some negative self-talk. It's easy to do, but it doesn't have to be the only internal dialogue we have - with the help of some very simple props you'll be well on your way to internalizing a new way of thought.
Thanksgiving (well, the Canadian one anyways) is here already, and it's just the first of many holidays to celebrate in the coming months. During these holidays you may find yourself attending family functions and parties with your friends - but if you, like Jody & Alex, have changed your eating habits, how can you still eat what you want, the way you want, while dining at someone else's place? Today, Jody & Alex discuss their relationship with food, family and how to cope with "bei...

Jody & Alex get into a little bit of a heated discussion on today's podcast! The topic? When should you get your kids into extracurricular activities (like sports, dance, etc.)? And which activities do you try to get them interested in? The trick question underlying these kinds of questions that all parents should ask themselves first is "Does my child really want this, or do I want this?" If it's the latter, then the rest doesn't matter - you need to take yourself out of the equati...
We're two weeks into a new school year, so Jody & Alex have decided it's a great time to reflect on the books they've read over the summer months. In addition to that, we drop a few tips on how to get some time in your day for reading the books we talk about or your own books - for learning, for pleasure, or for both! What are you reading now, or have read recently? Send Jody & Alex an email and let them know at: info at jodymyciak dot com
It's that time of year again - when kids are going back to school and pumpkin-spice is in the air. We really enjoyed having a guest every week to celebrate our podcast's 1-Year Anniversary back in July, so we're going to continue to invite a guest once a month from here on out! For August (and complimenting last week's podcast nicely) we invited Kim Jones to talk about the business her and her husband share. Join Jody, Alex, and Kim as she talks about the business of flipping a house, but not in the way most of us have ever heard of - Kim has built a network of supportive, loving people ...

This week Jody & Alex talk about surrendering and letting go. It's not about giving up though; it's about focusing on what you can control and letting go of the things that you can't. Listen in as they discuss how surrendering (a.k.a. letting go of) the outcome or your expectations will set you free. Once you accept something about yourself or others (see last week's episode), you can release those stories that your Ego has been telling you for so long - and the feelings of freedom, hope...
