Do you ever feel as if you're wearing a mask? Perhaps, you think you have to act a certain way around your boss or say certain things to your colleagues, so you’ll be accepted. Instead of being yourself, you're playing a role to fit in or to impress others. Now, most of us have gone through times like this, instead of behaving in a genuine way we tell people what we think they want to hear and we act in ways that go against our true nature—in short, we’re living unauthentically and entirely out of alignment with true authentic expression. I know living and working this way is tiring, I’ve been there. So, I am aware of just how much it can hold you back from reaching your full potential.     In today’s solo episode, we’re talking about authenticity and living from your most authentic state of being that’s anchored in unapologetic transparency. I’ll be providing valuable insight into the benefits of being your true self while providing real-life examples of people who discovered the huge costs of not honoring their truth because wearing a mask always comes with a price.    We will explore some exercises I teach in my workshops like the Breakthrough to Success Workshop, where we help people expand their self-awareness, build their self-esteem and self-confidence, and create lives that fully align with and express their authentic selves. In exploring these exercises, I help you see where it is we are most prone to hide our authentic selves and ask you questions like: What do you truly want to spend time doing? And who do you want to spend time with doing whatever it is you want to do? What kind of music do you love? What causes do you want to stand up for? If no one could have an opinion on it, what would you do as soon as tomorrow?    Tune in to Episode 5 of The Jack Canfield Podcast to learn about the power of authentic expression and building the habit of operating from a place of authenticity. I am excited to share these ideas with you and hope we can begin creating a more fulfilling experience along this journey called life.    In this episode, you will learn:   Defining Authenticity: Learning the benefits of embracing our true nature and understanding the cost of wearing a mask (0:38)  The Power of Self-Awareness: Guidance and Exercises for shifting from inauthenticity into full-embodied truth (5:26)  Unlearning Expectations: Setting boundaries with social pressures and people-pleasing tendencies that limit authentic expression (12:39)  Releasing Limiting Beliefs: Reclaiming your right to a more authentic life by reprograming your thoughts and mind.
