My name is Elizabeth Hagadorn and I am 33 years old. I am the co-founder of a non profit organization called ROAAR (Raising Overall Awareness About Recovery). Most Importantly though, for the first time in my life, I am free from the bondage of my addiction. After struggling through childhood trauma, years of intravenous drug use, multiple trips to jails, rehabs and prisons, I finally found my success through a drug treatment court program.  After starting this program and getting sober, I began my journey of figuring out who I am. Through service work and helping others, I have FOUND MY WHY! I work hard through ROAAR, shouting to the world that Recovery is real, that we are not defined by who we once were, and that once we start having fun in Recovery, our whole lives will change. With God, some grace, and a heart of gratitude, I plan to continue this journey wherever it may take me.

David Pohorence is many things: a former athlete, a fitness management consultant, a certified personal trainer, a franchise owner, a husband, a father, a son, he has a Master's Degree in Sport administration, and he is now an author as well.  He is just finishing writing his book, "Why not me?"  A book on how to overcome obstacles and live your best life.   David grew up in a blue-collar home.  David's father worked many jobs his whole life to try and provide for his family.  That family was large, with a total of seven children.  This is what showed David that if he worked hard and devoted himself to his passion, if he had the drive to work through the hard times, that he would succeed.  This mindset worked its way into every aspect of his life.   Along with all of his business success, David has plenty of personal success, too.  He spends as much time with his wife and children.  Family is everything to him, and he hopes to spend every moment he can with them.  He encourages everyone to keep pushing themselves, try things outside of their comfort zones, and to focus on their passions.   Enjoy the show? Tom Campanaro has been a part of the fitness community for almost 50 years.  He created the Total Gym back in 1974.  Total Gym is a name so synonymous with fitness that most people would think that it had always been a vast success, but this is not the case.  When Tom first created the Total Gym, he couldn't even get people to try it.  He had to find a way to market the device in a pre-internet era.   His method of marketing was trade shows and they did over 200 a year.  This was the way they marketed the Total Gym.     It took almost 20 years before the total gym started to truly gain traction as a fitness product.  At this time, Tom had gained a foothold in not just individual home sales for his product, but the rehabilitation and physical therapy community, and in the commercial sector as well. The Total Gym became a total success.   It wasn't always easy, but he persevered, and in this episode we will learn many lessons from Tom and the Total Gym.     Enjoy the show? Travis Chappell grew up in Lancaster, California.  A place right next to LA County.  He grew up on a campus that was populated by a large community of Fundamental Baptists.  A community that was no more than 1 thousand at the time and is now 70 thousand strong.  As it grew, they added other features, like a college.  Travis got his degrees in Bible and Church Ministries here.  He realized that this isn't what he wanted to do, and decided to leave and go to Fresno.  This was the first step on a journey that would lead him to where he is today.   When he was in Fresno, he decided to do door-to-door sales, and was quite successful at it.  He made very good money, but he realized that he didn't want to be doing this same thing in 10 years.  He decided to take a little time to find out what it was that he wanted to do.  Even though he explored many different areas, he ended up landing on podcasting, and he knew that's what he wanted to be involved in for the rest of his life.   He spent time figuring out what he wanted his podcast to be about, and he found that he couldn't think of any podcast that dealt with creating relationships and networks.  He started "Build Your Network," which is now consistently in the Top 25 Business Podcasts on iTunes.  He's also the Founder and CEO of Guestio which helps connect guests to content creators.  He has done a lot not just with his own podcast but helps people grow and create their own podcasts.  Working everyday at something he loves and is passionate about.     Enjoy the show? Pete Holman is many things, a national taekwondo champion, a physical therapist, a certified strength and conditioning specialist, an international presenter, an author, and an inventor.  You may wonder how one man can do so many things, but he is able to do all of this and more.  Not only has he found the drive to do all of this, but he has done so at the hands of adversity, overcoming obstacles again and again. Pete grew up in Colorado, and in 1997 he won the National Taekwondo Championship, leading the team to victory.  In the same year he graduated from the University of Colorado  with a degree in Physical Therapy.  With this degree he started a career at the exceptionally renowned Aspen Sports Medicine Clinic.  He then opened up his own private practice in 2001. He invented the TRX Rip Trainer, the Nautilus Glute Drive, and several other fitness products.  He's worked with professional athletes and coaches from the MLB, NFL, NBA, UFC, the X-Games, and the Sun Energy1 Race Car Team.  While doing all of this he found time to be a presenter for IDEA FIT, as well as writing for several other journals and websites.  To this day he continues to invent, innovate, and inspire. Pete believes that if we truly want something that we will go out and get it.  Adversity in your life is what gives you strength, allows you to overcome, and what lets you know that what you want is worth getting.  He believes that the best things in your life will come through hard work and sacrifice, and Pete has lived up to these words time and time again throughout his life.   Enjoy the show?
