Description

Welcome to The Psychology Perspective podcast!! I’m a psychology teacher at a college, and after completing my diploma in criminology and my bachelors in psychology (counselling) I thought I’d answer some common psychology questions 🧠 whether it’s psychology of serial killers, research methods or even uni life, we will cover all of it- everything psychological :) PS- I am by no means a doctor or psychologist; simply sharing what I’ve learnt and hopefully starting an interesting podcast for those with an interest in the field 🎧

Wow, I ranted A LOT this episode- apologies! I wanted to share the book I read: Love's Executioner & Other Tales of Psychotherapy. It brought up a great conversation of therapists holding biases (which everyone does!), as well as signs I knew I personally shouldn't be a therapist after completing my degree in Psychology (Counseling). Let me know what you think of this episode. If you have read this book, I would love to hear your thoughts. For more psychology content, make sure to follow my TikTok page @psychology_perspective.

I have been thinking about doing this episode for quite a while and been put off several times, because let's face it- admitting you feel out of control with the phone addiction isn't ideal. I think we need to understand the effects of social media and doom scrolling, and this episode will give you a brief insight into just a few of them.
