The SoVerve Lounge (& SoVerve Marketing Group, for that matter) have both turned SEVEN! Yes, this is officially the podcast's seventh season (where has the time gone?), and the agency is now seven years old. Ahh! I still cannot believe it, but thankfully, seven is my favorite number, so that I will take that as a sign of amazing things. In this episode, I chat with you about what this unintentional hiatus has looked like behind the scenes, the critical decisions I made last Fall, and why I am so excited about marketing again! "When trust is low, in a company or a relationship, it places a hidden "tax" on every transaction: every communication, every interaction, every strategy, and every decision is taxed, bringing speed down and sending costs up. I experience that significant distrust doubles the cost of doing business and triples the time it takes to get things done." - Stephen Covey. Companies that already provide a basic level of customer service can survive a recession. Still, those companies that go above and beyond will excel during these often hard economic times. Everything from your customer service to your sales funnel to your service offerings must be audited to ensure you provide the best service. 🤎 Thank you for tuning in! Running a small business during the often slow summertime can be difficult. Still, instead of getting discouraged, I encourage you to consider what you can do to prepare for the holiday season. Summer is an excellent time to tie up loose ends you may have, like those projects you haven't finished, those blogs you haven't updated (or written), or that collaboration you have been putting off. Use this time wisely. Make the long days of Summer count in your favor. 🤎 Thank you for tuning in! The recent changes to Instagram have the small business community in an uproar. Many have had conversations about leaving the platform for good, while others have done what I believe is the best solution: Making peace with the platform. You see, I think that Instagram is experiencing an identity crisis. The platform has gone from a Creator First Channel to a Distribution First Channel and back again. Instagram is trying to find its way back to being creator-oriented without leaving everyone behind. I advise you to give the platform time to finish making some adjustments but always maintain your marketing diversified.🤎 Thank you for tuning in! As small business owners, we spend so much time discussing the importance of business automation, processes, and systems. It's one of the things we talk about most, and we often spend time warning novice small business owners (and entrepreneurs) as they embark on their journey. However, automation isn't that simple for a podcast host, even less so when we are sick. That is why it's important to understand that some things can't be automated, and in business, we must accept these things, even with the consequences they can bring to our content marketing efforts. 🤎 Thank you for tuning in! During a Senate hearing on Wednesday, December 8, 2021, Adam Mosseri mentioned that Instagram would bring back the chronological feed in two different versions. One version of the chronological feed would let you "pick your favorites, and they show up at the top in chronological order, while the other would let you see the posts from everyone you’re following in chronological order." Let's dive into what this means for you and your Instagram marketing strategy for 2022. 🤎 Thank you for tuning in!
