What comes after all the healing? Healing is great, but it’s also an easy place to plateau if we only ever focus on “fixing” what’s wrong. Sometimes it’s helpful to also focus on what you plan to do with all that health you’ve created, and what else you want to bring into your life. For me, it’s more sparkle, please.

Have we all been hearing about how kids as young as 2 start internalizing notions about race and how important it is to talk to them about it? Me too, but I always wonder, “how?” So here is an example of me doing it and sometimes doing it poorly because it’s awkward and hard. There were many cringeworthy moments and he surprised me with some toxic masculinity I didn’t know someone who I have been so careful in shielding from violence and mindful about gender language could be.
