Jon Sabati, a native of Hawaii, never thought that spring turkey hunting would be such a big part of his life, considering that boar hunting was the premier hunt of the pacific. Jon was introduced to fall turkey hunting by Deane Gonzalez who moved to Hawaii from Pennsylvania. At that time Hawaii didn’t have a spring season. After guiding Dick Kirby on a big game hunt, Dick took Jon to Missouri and taught him the basics of spring turkey hunting. Through the efforts of Deane Gonzalez, Hawaii opened spring turkey hunting and soon after Jon was hired by Kealia Ranch to guide turkey hunts. Deane Gonzalez also started a NWTF chapter on Oahu and with the help of Dick Kirby a small group of dedicated Big Island hunters started a NWTF Chapter on the Big Island. With the help of the NWTF the chapter was able to make contributions to the state department to buy equipment, guzzlers, build hunter check stations, plant hundreds of native trees to improve habitat conditions and trap and transfer nuisance turkeys. Jon then attended an NWTF convention in Nashville and held a seminar on hunting in Hawaii, where he met Ray Eye and invited him to hunt Hawaii. After guiding turkey hunts for more than 15 years Jon says that each turkey hunt is just as exciting as the first one.

Regulated trapping plays an integral role in today's conservation landscape; whether in the form of an activity like seasonal fur trapping, wildlife conflict/damage control work, or for scientific benefit - such as biological data collection, and species monitoring. Regulated trapping activities in North America are one of the many modern conservation tools for keeping our natural places healthy and sustainable. Support for trapping is support for common sense conservation. Jeff Traynor and Fred discuss the integral aspects of trapping today.

Quigley-Ford Long Range Hunting Scopes were conceived and developed by Randy Ford of Ontario, Canada. Born in 1954, Randy has been a lifelong hunter, and fisherman, who has always reached out to solve equipment issues . Randy shared most of his hunting and fishing opportunities with older masters, always eager to learn from their experience. Randy has achieved a measurable degree of success over the decades. Randy’s greatest passion is teaching and sharing his knowledge obtained through his association with other masters in the field. One of his favourite movies was “Quigley Down Under “ which influenced the name of his lines of scopes. A passionate hunter , Randy has harvested more than fourty moose, over 2,000 pheasants, loads of whitetail deer, and a sampling of elk, mule deer , antelope caribou, wolves, coyotes and other animals . Suffice it to say his experience is extensive, and he understands what makes for good equipment and what products simply add complications to what should be simple. Randy has made a commitment to refine and add products to the line of Quigley-Ford Long Range Hunting Scopes only if it will add enjoyment and success to your hunting experience.
From the wilds of Alaska, to the Rocky Mountains, to the Heartland of his home state of Illinois, Kirby has traveled far and wide to see fur, feathers, trees and water differently than the rest of us…and the same. The same adrenaline that’s pulsed through the veins of hunters for generations is what makes Kirby tick. Only his purpose for being there is different. He is an artist - charged by God to preserve on canvas His wild places and wild things.
