It's been over 70 days with no cooking gas at 1-04 Astoria Blvd. That's an entire building in Astoria Houses, a public housing development within the New York City Housing Authority (NYCHA), where most residents are above 50 years of age. It's insane and inhumane. We need to figure out a new way to organize and maintain public housing, not just in New York City, but across the Nation. Listen to Dannelly and I discuss this issue..
On Friday November 6th, Justice For All Coalition organized a Press conference to encourage NYCHA tenants Citywide to go on a rent strike and demand that the repairs in their apartments be made immediately.
There are times we find ourselves in situations, personally and professionally, whether romantically, familiarly, and/or friendly, and we don't feel fully loved, valued, respected, honored and worthy. Too often we stay in those situations because they offer some sense of comfortability, maybe even security, yet they bring no happiness nor peace. Today and everyday, I'm encouraging all of us to choose wisely by choosing self! Choose YOU! Give yourself and your people the same energy you're giving to entities that have shown time and time again that they have a complete disregard for your well-being.
