They strike out at slave and merchant ships in the area, liberating both people and property, offering the formerly enslaved and weary crew members alike the chance to join them in such piratical pursuits.    But the winds are changing, and Misson isn’t sure Libertalia can weather the storms he can see brewing on the horizon. Confronted with a sudden realisation about her place in the world, the Doctor and Ella must follow the history of her sadness from Saturn in the 28th Century, to Greece in 480 BC. They'll meet ghosts, space pilots, ancient Spartan warriors, and a delivery boy from the inter-galactic postal service. Items are being discovered all over the city for owners who appear not to exist: not just bags of groceries but passports that match up to no known citizen. As traces of artron energy begin to steadily build across the underground network, the Doctor suspects that more than just a pickpocket or fraudster is at work. While Ella faces her darkest night at home, the Doctor is left to piece together the mystery of the lost property, and to work out just how it connects with a prominent political activist’s disappearing act on live television. The answer might just prove to be worse than either of them could ever have imagined.
