WWP20: Scaling into a Healthier Lifestyle with Jessica Scully

Today in episode 20, we’re talking with Jessica Scully from Paleo Scaleo. Just by reading Jessica’s backstory on her own nutritional journey I knew we were soul sisters. As Jessica described it, Growing up, her family had a joke that the only green thing she would eat was mushy canned peas (except it wasn’t really a joke, because it was true). In college, she expanded her horizons to include sliced tomatoes drowned in ranch dressing at the cafeteria. Cereal was her favorite food, which I would consume in serving-bowl sized portions. I know I’m not the only one who can relate to that, am I right? Jessica’s nutritional journey evolved once she found Paleo. She eased her way into a Paleo lifestyle that works for her, which was her vision behind Paleo Scaleo. With anything in life, scaling into a change in life will inevitably lead to longer lasting results. And that’s what we’re talking about in today’s episode; how to learn to scale for long-lasting results. WWP005: 50 Shades of Paleo

Welcome to another episode of the podcast. Today on episode 005 we’re going to be with Michelle Homan of Fruition Fitness about the 50 Shades of Paleo. Michelle is a full time teacher, mom, wife and runner. She tenaciously works to live her best life and is passionate about sharing what works. Michelle is currently prepping for a 6 week CrossFit challenge and looking forward to breaking down strategies her readers can implement at home. She has created a Beginner Paleo Checklist printable where she outlines the 5 strategies that helped her be successful when getting started with Paleo. We’ll include a link to this printable checklist in the show notes. What I really enjoyed about Michelle, and one of the reasons why I wanted to bring her onto the podcast, is she offers a very different approach to Paleo and fully understands that there’s no one version of Paleo that’s correct and it’s all about finding what works for you. Michelle has a very athletic background, ate a healthy diet but found Paleo not because she had food intolerances but through Crossfit. And it wasn’t until she actually tried Paleo that she experienced just how good it left her feeling.Additional Show Notes: 5 {No Fail!} Paleo Tips for Beginners + a bonus checklist for a smooth start! - fruitionfitness.com/5-no-fail-paleo-tips-beginners/fruitionfitness.comwanderlustandwellness.orgwanderlustandwellness.org/fableticsthepaleodiet.comrobbwolf.com/2012/10/24/shades-paleo/Click to view: show page on Awesound
