Today’s topic is something I know you all want to know about - whether you should count calories or not. Calorie counting – I mean that’s the way to lose weight right? Low calorie is such a click bait type term because automatically we think "Yes, that’s something I can eat!". We are fixed on the idea of calorie counting because traditionally that is how people lose weight right. You reduce how much you eat, increase how much energy you are using and then you lose weight. There is no question about it - you won't be asking "Should I count calories?" While the energy in and energy out does have a part to play but if it just boils down to just this why are you even listening to this podcast? Why are so many people struggling with their weight loss? In this episode, we talk about: What calories are How calories are used in your body The dangers behind calorie counting for weight loss What you can do instead of calorie counting to lose weight Other episodes to listen to: #19 The Hunger Scale, #23 Sleep and Weight Loss   Read the full shownotes here Follow on instagram @thewaytoweightloss Download your free workout plan
Writing down what has happened in my day and a bit about how I am feeling/where my head is at helps me have a much better day and de-stress. It got me thinking, because a big part of my weight loss coaching is to help ladies look at their life and assess their stress. We know stress impacts on health and weight gain or the inability to lose weight right. I get them to track their stress levels and look at how that has affected their eating and exercise habits. So my question now is can journaling regularly have a positive effect on the way we eat and exercise? Find out the answer in this podcast episode.   Read the full shownotes here Follow me on instagram @thewaytoweightloss

How walking helps weight loss is something that I have become more and more aware of as I have been coaching my lovely clients. Walking has always been  one of my favourite ways to get active. Some of the girls in my coaching program, the busy bees weight loss academy, came to the program doing zero activity. Which is completely fine – as part of the program they got a workout plan however for those who really struggle with getting into a routine with working out, my top advice has been to just start walking.   Read the full shownotes for this episode here Download your 7 day workout plan here Follow me on instagram @thewaytoweightloss

You don’t eat overnight obviously because you are sleeping and then you skip your breakfast to go workout. It is often thought this can help with fat loss, though the research doesn't point in the same direction. Learn all about cardiovascular exercise and the concept of fasted cardio in this episode.   Read the full shownotes  Download your copy of a free workout plan here Follow on instagram @thewaytoweightloss
