In this episode, we are joined by Amir Mehrbakhsh, a Consultant at Reference Point. The credit score is a metric that has been around for quite some time and is used as a way to understand a person's financial behavior.  However, the predictive model behind the score is pretty simple and does not take into account many variables in a person's financials or life. Amir is a fintech and startup enthusiast analyzing how various technologies are changing the way we live our daily lives. In a publication of his, he outlines the concept of "Credit Worthiness" and how a more general AI model can actually predict a person's financial behavior using a multitude of variables across a variety of personas. Through his work at the National Institute of Health (NIH), Dan is able to tap into a patient's DNA to detect their ancestry and early signs of genetic diseases. At a country-specific level, Dan can visualize how certain genes vary amongst populations and show why certain groups of people are more likely to have diseases than others.
