Tavia, who helps create the U.S. News Best Hospitals Ranking, talks about her team's endeavor to reassess how we value and rank hospital and healthcare systems by introducing their novel Health Equity Index (HEI). She discusses the data sources used to calculate the index and why taking health equity into account helps both hospitals and patients.
