Description

Let's talk about the shit we women go through, the challenges we face in our lives, and finding the realness and humour of it all! No matter what "stage" of life you are at, there are secret thoughts and questions we are afraid to ask or share.

So join me with your favourite glass (or bottle, no judgement) of wine and hopefully this show will entertain and inspire you to be real! Let's drink to unfiltered truth about life stages, marriage, aging, outlier boss-babes and breaking stigmas around issues we all face quietly alone. We are not alone because we have each other!

This topic might not be about being a woman in your 40s, however I felt it relevant, because I am a mother of a child that falls under the LGBTQ plus rainbow and I’ve had to learn to navigate through these tough topics with an open heart and an open mind.  My good friend, Dustin, aka Karen A. Crystal(/Krystina) has recently began his/her journey into the art of Drag, or what the community calls a Queen Baby, and I became fascinated. So when I had the opportunity to hang out for an evening with him, play dress up, twirl and dance around while playing Taylor Swift and drinking wine, naturally I JUMPED on that!   I feel very fortunate to have such a beautiful friend, inside and out, who would allow me to ask the questions that many of us probably have had in our minds but never had the chance to ask. And how else are we going to educate ourselves if we don't ask?  So, with a little pink bubbly truth serum, we dive into the world of the Rainbow Warrior.
Well, what can I say?  I suffer from perpetual insomnia.  I believe it's a mixture of both ADHD and peri-menopause so I will now call it ADHPM. This morning I thought I would share some of those thoughts with you!   My ADHD shine on this podcast as I navigate early morning (and I mean 3:28am to 5am) thoughts, ponderings, and need for coffee and Adderall...
Why do we feel like we have to wait until the bitter end to get help in our marriages?  And with the new movement to normalize mental health and therapy, why do we feel that couples counselling is still taboo? In this episode, I am talking with Jennie Henderson of Balanced Bodies Westside, what makes a long-term marriage work and stigma of marriage counselling.
I want to introduce you to my beautiful friend, incredible actor and entrepreneur Michelle!  She will definitely be a reoccurring guest on my show as we both navigate the peri-menopause, or what some women call "The Change" or what we call "The Pause".  In this episode, we discuss when we first realized that we were starting "The Pause", navigating our inept male doctors, the ugly parts of night sweats, the fun parts of orgasms, and of course our craziest periods!   Be ready for some real talk on this subject as we drink wine and no-holds-bar the truth about this "mystery" of being an aging woman.
Why did I start this podcast and what gives me the authority to talk about this?  Because I am woman, hear me talk... a lot!  I dive into a little bit why I decided to start this podcast and where I think I'm going with all of this.
