There is a common trend in some incredible successful women these days, they tend to start in one industry - build some serious life skills & then are able to pivot into a totally different unrelated field that they never thought they'd end up in.  Today's guest Tara Faquir Co-Founder of Trustate sits down with us to tell us all about her journey from her widely successful, exciting retail life at Nordstrom & Rent The Runway which led to a huge pivot into a little non-profit called Girl Scouts & landed her right to where she is at today - running a remarkably untouched industry with her best friend whom she met during a college transition.  Tara, like all of our guests defines unstoppable. She knows her strength & more importantly when it's time to pivot to her next challenge. Listen along as she shares her journey & teaches us how although we may not see it now but our skills are incredibly transferrable if we just took some time to look harder into our day to days. We all get taught at a young age, make a plan for your life and follow that plan until you accomplish your goal right. Heck we talk about that here...   But what do you do when life happens right smack in the middle of that journey? Where is that clear path in life when you're facing an unexpected injury that you have no control over when or if it heals?  Chelsea Whalley Partner & COO of J Donovan Financial had just that, her vision was set, she knew exactly where she was going in life. On her way to becoming a doctor, mid season into her college softball career when a freak accident happened during warm ups. In that moment whether she knew it or not, her whole life was about to be completely redirected as the injury she faced was about to bring her far bigger challenges and a totally different path in life. Listen along as she shares her inspiring journey, the struggles through healing and how she was able to find the strength & alignment back within herself and her life regardless of how life tried to knock her off course.  "I will never question again whether I have the strength to go through something hard." - Chelsea Whalley @benefitsboss
The human brain has 48 thoughts per minute 70,000 thoughts PER day That means we have a hell of a lot more conversations with ourselves than we do anyone else. We get a thought, we internally have a quick dialogue, do the thing or don’t do the thing -- our body shoots off a feeling and we either pounce or back away from it. So going after a goal or a dream or just simply making a tough decision often feels like push & pull. Well how you’ve interacted with yourself in the past, the experiences you’ve seen, the words you’ve heard all of this starts to play a role into how you form into an adult. And one by one those experiences start to dictate how your life pans out because your believing and listening to old traits & habits. Today’s solo time I want you to challenge yourself to push past some of those 70,000 thoughts and narrate your future. Pick 3 traits you want to work towards becoming for your future self. Me I’m shooting to be: Enthusiastic, Valuable and Present Share with me yours @collblum. Let’s grow together!
"Take the next step or choose to let it cripple you." The wise words from the incredibly impactful man himself, Lester Morales is our next guest.   Lester is no newbie to the game of a go-getter. After many years as a super successful sales leader, he took a good look around and knew there was a bigger impact to be made in his industry & more importantly his life. With the help of wise words from his mom and a strong belief in himself, he chose to take the leap of faith and opened the doors of Next Impact, LLC.  What happened would be enough to knock many others of course, still after major hits he has proven to never back down and is as successful as ever running a now 7 figure business he gets to call his own.  Lester's journey is a true definition that you don't get to choose the cards you're dealt on the journey in life, what you do get to choose is how you move forward to make an impact from that.  Connect with Lester on LinkedIn https://www.linkedin.com/in/lester-j-morales-5064b91/  Instagram: @collblum & @tryandstopmepodcast
