A strength-based approach to health is predicated on the basis of self-determination and a focus on what is positive when it comes to our health and its associated outcomes. In it we attempt to define and discuss strength-based approaches including it’s perceived positives and negatives.We talk about the Pollyanna principle in health and behaviour, including what it is and if it serves us often and always. Then we jump into practical optimism and how we can try to visualise multiple angles to a narrative and what might best work with it as an approach, including being grateful.
And away we go. In the perennial 'pilot' episode, we introduce and discuss the purpose behind Walkabout Health and our hosts Troy and Tyler. What their background is and why we have decided to jump into such a project. We consider future episodes and the 'what and why' of doing them with a passion and general self and broader interests.
