Scott goes solo this time to cover episode six of the final season of Preacher. Kerry and Syd battle time demons, Dan Stevens sings some Pink Floyd and we find out that Stitch might not be just your run of the mill mutant. “Laugh Track” Tina Patterson comes to help with a “Search and Rescue” of the Preachercast this week as her and Scott recap episode four of the final season. Jesse and Pilot Steve are trying to get to Australia, but it might not be by plane. The conference between Heaven and Hell to kick off the apocalypse is about to begin and Tulip is still undercover in Masada as valet to Jesus Christ himself. Starr is having some problems with his ear replacement surgery, Cassidy is settling up with Toscani and an annoying angel and Lara Featherstone still cant catch her nemesis Tulip. David goes to war for Chapter 24 on Legion and Pat and Scott are here to talk you through the carnage. Division Three is about to have a real bad day as David, with a little help from Farouk, locates their flying fortress and brings the fight to them. A lot of people die, or nobody does, depending on if David can go back in time and “fix” things. Syd plays her card, Farouk is still scheming and Clark is trying to naughty Skype with his husband. Other than that its just a music filled murder fest that is setting us up for the final three episodes. Scott and Pat take on the fourth episode of Legions final season and in true X-Men fashion we learn that mucking about with time can cause some serious problems. Except when it comes to pop culture references and we get a fair few in this one. Everything is wonky and Davids attempts with Switch to “save” his infant self has let loose the Time Demons, who look suspiciously like either The Goddess Kali or Blue Meanies, take your pick. Farouk and the Division Three folks are off exploring a French science fiction movie, Lenny is just trying to get her love child into the world and David gets to talk to his mom when she was in the camps. Syd gets drunk with her past self, maybe, Ptonomy has some temporal and some mustache issues and Cary Loudermilk breaks Davids spell, so you know, this means war. Four more episodes to go and we have no idea whats to come, or has that part of the podcasts time stream just been devoured? Legion finally gets to let its X-Creds hang out as we get the story of how a boy named Charles met a girl Named Gabrielle and they eventually had a boy named David. This version of Xavier was a patient in a mental hospital just like his future son and we see how he meets and falls in love with a troubled woman named Gabrielle Haller. Charles uses his powers for deception and death in his early days, builds a funny hat with wires coming out of it and finds a guy named Farouk, leaving his infant son and wife alone to experience future David trying to save his infant self. David and Switch cant quite break through to be of any help though and there may be some future dental work because of it. The Stones are back, many callbacks and parallels to the first season and timey wimey predictions by Scott and Pat about where the story goes from here.
