1932. "Lucky" Charles Lindbergh and his family were thrust into a nightmare. Baby Lindbergh, "The Eaglet" was kidnapped and murdered. A few years later, the case would be "solved" and a man executed. And yet, that is only the beginning. Most books on the matter seem to be based on false information, making the theories suspect or even silly. We'll look at the facts. Autopsy reports. And we'll talk about the most taboo theory of all: the one that claims America's hero was a eugenics/Nazi sympathizer and that he orchestrated the greatest hoax of all time...a false kidnapping.  catt dahman and DA Roberts host
Charles Augustus Lindbergh, Jr., 20-month-old son of the famous aviator and Anne Morrow Lindbergh, was kidnapped about 9:00 p.m., on March 1, 1932, from the nursery on the second floor of the Lindbergh home near Hopewell, New Jersey. At least 12 ransom notes were sent, all by the same person, and then on May 12, 1932, the body of the kidnapped baby was accidentally found, partly buried, and badly decomposed, about four and a half miles southeast of the Lindbergh home. On April 3, 1936, at 8:47 p.m., Bruno Richard Hauptmann was electrocuted. . On December 25, 1996, JonBenét Ramsey was reported missing from her home, and then her body was found seven hours later in the basement. A little six year old beauty queen, the child was strangled and had suffered head trauma. The case remains unsolved despite extensive investigations. Both cases contain instances of something called the Mandela effect, which is an unusual phenomenon where a large group of people remembers something differently than how it occurred.  catt dahman and DA Roberts host. Naomi Downing, writer, joins the show to add facts and fun.
The human body can be terrifying. Consider cases of spontaneous human combustion...that's hot! Meat rain. Dozens of feet found in the ocean. Weird. We disassociate when body parts are in strange places or apart from the actual body. That strange feeling is normal but very creepy. We'll talk to Verona L Jones and get her take on body horror. Also, Jaime Maxwell and Justin P Warren join us for movie talk. Both actors, they appear in the long-awaited movie Crave: Roots of Evil . It's real body horror when victims are taken over by a plant-based zombie virus. Or is it? Could it be something far from Earth? Do the sexy agents destroy the ravenous creatures? Maybe Jaime and Justin will et a few clues slip, because we may need some weed killer before we watch this be! (Directed by Remy St.Paul). catt dahman and DA Roberts host.

Friday, March 12 at 9:00 CST
For writers and those fascinated by true crime! We'll dispel myths and try to make everything make sense including crime via social media (your kids are not safe), blood splatter, ballistics, crime scene security, realistic expectations as far as fingerprints and DNA, and the concept of criminal profiling (victimology is better). We'll also discuss what a crime scene can say, and we'll ruin some popular falsehoods related to criminology. What about Stockholm Syndrom, biased/false witness accounts, and those suspicious suicides? We're on it!    D A Roberts and catt dahman
Zodiac

Zodiac

2021-02-2001:58:00

The Zodiac Killer operated in California from at least the late 1960s to the early 1970s. The unidentified killer originated the name in a series of taunting letters and cards sent to the press. These letters included four cryptogram. Although the Zodiac claimed to have committed 37 murders in letters to the newspapers, investigators agree on only seven confirmed victims, two of whom survived. On August 8, 1969, Donald and Bettye Harden  cracked the 408-symbol cryptogram. It contained a misspelled message in which the killer seemed to reference "The Most Dangerous Game". The author also said he was collecting slaves for an afterlife.

Bite Me!

Bite Me!

2021-01-2802:00:00

Vampires! Vampires are evil mythological beings who roam the world at night searching for people whose blood they feed upon. Porphyria cutanea tardea presents many symptoms: photosensitivity (an excessive reaction to light), which causes chronic blistering and even burns on sun-exposed areas slow healing, and  hair growth, especially on the face. Some symptoms of porphyria can be temporarily relieved by ingesting blood. Other diseases blamed for promoting the vampire myth include rabies or goiter. But vampires can also be romantic figures. Books and movies still have a love affair with vampires. What really happens when once bitten? catt dahman and DA Roberts host with Brian Woods and Verona L. Jones
David Lynch. Dune. Eraserhead. Blue Velvet. Elephant Man. Twin Peaks. Twin Peaks changed television and inspired a new kind of horror including The X Files. A drama series set in a small town, Twin Peaks showed us that high school student had been murdered. Who killed Laura Palmer? FBI agent Dale Cooper took the case and found supernatural aspects. Lynch said, "The project was to mix a police investigation with the ordinary lives of the characters." Characters such as the log lady, Hawk, Andy, Audrey and more became household names. We cared about each and we found ones to hate: Leo, Windom Earle, and more. We discovered what goes on behind closed doors, horrific secrets, Project Blue Book and UFOs, cave secrets, that owls are not what they seem, and that the log had plenty of advice. Creamed corn is evil. And along the way, we discovered who killed poor Laura. But there was more.  Beware the black lodge. Mister Lynch, we salute you! catt dahman, DA Roberts,Alison Armstrong, Marc Pearce What makes a film scary? What do directors do? What is it like to act in horror? We'll get the answers!
Lizzie Borden took an axe and gave her parents several wacks with an axe. Eileen Wuornos claimed she only protected herself while working as a prostitute, but she murdered seven men in Florida. Casey Anthony was found not guilty for the death of her daughter but guilty in public opinion. Elizabeth Bathory was charged with eighty counts of murder. Eighty percent of female serial killers know their victims, and they often live or work with them. Women can kill, too, and it’s a deadly mistake to think that they can’t. catt dahman, DA Roberts, and Dawn Ellis Shea of D&T Publishing
Sci-Fi Horror

Sci-Fi Horror

2021-01-1402:00:00

We will be discussing Sci-Fi movies like Phantasm, Event Horizon, Cloverfield, Pandorum, and more. Why are they scary? What works and what doesn't?  Sci-Fi Horror is a sub-genre of both Science Fiction and Horror that uses scientific advances or futuristic settings as a source of fear. Do we fear advances? Intelligent visitors who might wish to serve man?  The future? The unknown, when tempered with futuristic elements and other life forms is terrifying! D.A.roberts, catt dahman, and Verona L. Jones
Charles Manson. The name evokes both fear, horror, and fascination. The Manson family committed a series of nine murders at four locations in July and August 1969. Some believe the motive was to start "Helter Skelter" which was thought to be an impending apocalyptic race war. No matter. Manson, a career criminal beginning no later than when he was nine years old, led the cult until  he was sent to a California State Prison, where he died at age 83 in late 2017. He had received "108 rules violation reports, had no indication of remorse, no insight into the causative factors of the crimes, lacked understanding of the magnitude of the crimes, had an exceptional, callous disregard for human suffering and had no parole plans". D.A.Roberts, catt dahman, and Joseph Monks host

Mysteries abound on the seas. The Bermuda Triangle: real or easily explained? What about the Mary Celeste? That was the ship found deserted. The seas are greatly unexplored and we simply don't know what is hidden in the depths...if anything.
