Description

I want to encourage everyone to seek out their why, in every experience they create. Ask yourself, why am I doing what I do and what is the effect it is having on me and potentially others. In addition to that ask, is it a positive return or is it not. I hope in everything we do, it is for the better. Support this podcast: https://anchor.fm/twe/support

Choices are everywhere.   Today we are learning about how one man's choice, has helped influence many, to help improve the lives of even many more.  Email: alexander.scottcollection@yahoo.com Facebook: Alexander Scott Collection / Christmas Mission  Instagram: @alexanderscottcollection LinkedIn: Alexander Scott YouTube: Alexander Scott Collection  Website: https://Alexanderscottcollection.com Heroes for Children: https://heroesforchildren.org/ Sky High for Kids: https://skyhighforkids.org/ American Cancer Society: https://skyhighforkids.org/ The Mighty Quinn Meldrum: https://www.facebook.com/themightyquinnmeldrum/ Wig Out: https://www.wigout.org/ Great Nonprofits Houston: https://greatnonprofits.org/city/houston/TX Mommy & Me Cancer Foundation: https://www.mamcf.org/ MD Anderson: https://gifts.mdanderson.org St. Jude's Children's Hospital: https://www.stjude.org/ --- Send in a voice message: https://anchor.fm/twe/message Support this podcast: https://anchor.fm/twe/support

My wife and I own Digital Delight, and in June of last year, marked 19 years in business and we wanted to celebrate. We wanted to celebrate with our team in a way that was fun, yet memorable. Over the years we have celebrated in all of the traditional ways. Lunches, water parks, a day of golf, you name it, we've probably done it. Most companies do this. It's a time to reflect, team build and spending time with those you might only see in passing on the daily. Last year, we wanted to do something different. We wanted to celebrate, but create an experience that our team might not do on their own. Hope and I have always believed in giving back and have participated in different ways.  With the Harvey flood we became the receiver of giving. I never thought I'd be that person or in that situation. You never know what tomorrow may bring, my friends. It was an emotional & scary time for us, once the shock wore off & reality started to come into focus. The devistating  impact the flood had on my family & thousands of others, was real. But because of community, the over abundance of support & giving, releaved some of the daily stresses, and allowed us to focus on recovery. This experience, cemented our desire to always give back, when we could.  So we started looking for opportunities to give back with our team & we found it.
