Welcome to this podcast. I hope you enjoy listening in, as much as I will enjoy bringing these episodes to you. I'm Katie, and I'm a psychologist, coach, nutritionist, naturopath & meditation teacher. I welcome you to connect with me on IG @katietymms or through my website www.katietymms.com
In this episode, I share three ways that I find are profoundly supportive for times of overthinking, ruminating and worrying, where we can often create a lot of angst and anxiety for ourselves.  This topic is close to my heart, having once been a chronic overthinker, and I have found so many helpful ways and tools to stop this for myself, and to feel so much more ease and calm.  I hope you enjoy listening in, and please excuse the 'not so good' quality audio today, as I recorded this as I was waiting for an appointment in my car - so it's very 'in the moment', and authentic! I hope it is supportive for you, and if you know someone who often overthinks and creates a lot of angst and anxiety for themselves, you might like to share with them. I'd love to hear your thoughts.  If you haven't subscribed already, then please do, and receive weekly episodes.     And if you would like to continue a conversation or to work with me, then I welcome you to connect through my website: www.katiejanewellness.com
In this episode, I share some thoughts about beginnings, new starts, and the power of taking one step forward. As one action is often all it takes to switch us from feeling stuck, procrastinating in some way or feeling it's all too hard, and to build our own natural momentum to just get started.  This is true for anything we set our minds and hearts to, and have a desire to make changes for ourselves - with health, life, career, business, relationships, making a big change or transition of some kind.  One step forward, one action, is all it takes to begin, and it can feel empowering to do so. If you're feeling held back in some way, or feeling stuck, or alone with something you're moving through - I hope there will be some supportive ways, or just one insight from this, to take away for yourself.  I would love to support you further, to feel the way you truly desire, in your heart and life.   If you would like to continue a conversation or to work with me, then I welcome you to connect through my website: www.katiejanewellness.com
In this episode, I wanted to share a little of my own personal journey and choice to give up alcohol. It's been two years of living alcohol-free now, and it feels a little vulnerable to share, but I hope by doing so, something might resonate, support you, or encourage you to think about your own relationship with alcohol. Or perhaps it's just a personal story you might enjoy listening to! But most importantly, I want to share the benefits I have found and why I enjoy living my life now, alcohol-free. I hope you enjoy listening in, and I'd love to hear and know.   If you'd like to continue a conversation with me, or to work with me, then I would love you to connect through my website: www.katiejanewellness.com  You can also connect through Instagram: @katiejanewellness_  And if you haven't hit subscribe as yet, then please do and you will receive weekly episodes to listen to, and shared conversations with guests.
In this episode, I share a little of my own personal journey with mindfulness, and meditation, and the profound healing that has come into my own heart and life.  I share this, to connect and support, and to encourage you with your own ritual and practice, especially if you are someone just like me who once thought meditation would be impossible.  I used to be that person through anxiety, pain and so much change and uncertainty in my own life, and today, I am so grateful for the ease and calm I feel, through meditation as such a beautiful and healing modality. Surrender has and continues to be the most profound healing journey of my life, and perhaps it is or may be, for you too.  I hope you enjoy listening in and perhaps you know someone who would benefit from hearing this, too.   If you haven't already, then do subscribe to receive weekly episodes and shared conversations with guests.   If you'd like to continue a conversation with me, or to work with me, then I would love you to connect through my website at: www.katieajanewellness.com
In this episode, I share what holistic wellbeing is, what it means to me, how I support my clients in a truly holistic way, and why I am so deeply passionate about this therapeutic and personalised approach. I talk about pillars and themes of wellbeing, to see ourselves as whole beings, and as truly unique individuals. How connected all parts of ourselves are, and how we can support ourselves to feel more calm, connected and confident, in all aspects of our lives. This is the holistic and compassionate support I bring to all my clients, and have a deep passion and devotion to - as I combine all my therapeutic expertise and modalities as a therapist, coach, wellness practitioner, meditation teacher, to supporting you to overcome stress and anxiety, and to feel calm and ease through change and transition in your heart and life. Listen in, and enjoy - and if you know someone who would love to to hear this, then please do share. And if you haven't already, then do subscribe to this podcast, to receive weekly episodes.   If you would like to work with me, to have holistic wellbeing support, then please do connect through my website: www.katiejanewellness.com
I've been thinking about positivity and optimism and their differences.  I wonder if these terms and 'hashtags' we use - #minsdetiseverything and #positivemindset  - are truly, everything. Or are they terms we use, so often, in this coaching/self improvement and self development space, that can feel supportive to some degree - also, depending on our life circumstances. Or can they, at times, actually create the opposite of positivity, and instill feelings of lack or failure, if we can't truly live up to this. Is the answer - yes, mindset is everything, but perhaps not without our heart connection too. Or perhaps it's not a positive mindset, but an optimistic outlook, that's far more valuable, supportive and brings all the feelings I believe in so much - calm, ease, connection and confidence within - from this optimistic place.  I know there are so many various schools of thought on this, and I want to share, in this episode, just a little of what I mean and feel.  Why I personally choose and favour optimism over positivity.  And I encourage you to reflect on what feels most true and supportive for you.  You might agree, or not - and I invite you to share your thoughts, as I'd love to hear and know.  I hope you enjoy listening in and if so, you might like to share with someone else too.      If you would like to continue a conversation with me, then  I welcome you to connect through my website at: www.katiejanewellness.com  And through IG: @katiejanewellness_  And if you haven't already, then make sure to subscribe to this podcast, to receive weekly episodes and conversations.  It's such a joy to have you here and thank you for listening in.
What a delight to share this conversation today. Kim is a writer, singer & coach and she has a fierce passion and devotion to support and liberate artists, to speak up and be a warrior for the gifts they have to share, to know their worth, to help them remember who they are, and to feel alive.  Beautiful themes for so many of us, as creatives, and self expression being a huge part of wellbeing.   In this conversation, we talk about so many nourishing and beautiful things - Kim's work as a voice coach; the impact of covid for artists and musicians; that we are all artists and creatives in our own lives and claiming this within ourselves; a sense of worthiness and feeling enough that many of us struggle with; music and artistry as a homecoming to ones self; devotion over discipline; how to handle criticism and see failure as empowering growth; and so much more! I so loved sharing this conversation today, and I know you'll enjoy listening in. It's a delight to share this conversation with Christina, about her two businesses, Hair Romance & Mr and Mrs Romance. Christina started blogging 11 years ago, from her own relationship and journey with her hair, and she's now a best selling author and blogger, and shares incredible hair styling resources, tutorials and so much support for other women. It's inspiring and insightful talking to her about the relationship we all have with our hair and how we see and feel about ourselves, our hair as a huge part of health and wellbeing, hair grief and ways women with hair loss can feel more empowered and confident, and so much more. If you're new to blogging and writing, or would love some inspiration, Christina also shares some really helpful tips to get started and for the words to flow. Mr and Mrs Romance is a travel and lifestyle blog and website,  Christina runs with her husband, Jim. It's a very special story as to how they met and this business came to life, and these two 'romances' connect. Mr and Mrs Romance shares adventures and travel tips, with their love and passion for eating, drinking, traveling, photography and more.  It's lovely to find out more about how they created this business, and inspiring for all of us to find new adventures in our lives, and a love for travel and exploring places closer to home, in these times, too. I loved sharing this conversation with Christina - she's so engaging, open, and a delight to talk to, with so much to share. Enjoy listening in, as much as I enjoyed sharing this conversation today. Mattering Matters

Mattering Matters

Mattering matters.  Feeling that you matter to someone, to others, within your community, and in this world.  It's fundamental for wellbeing.  I've reflected a lot on this during this year.  This sense and feeling of mattering.  As I hear and listen to this from others, and have felt personally for and within myself, in some ways too.  I share some thoughts and personal insights in this episode today.   If you would like to continue a conversation with me, or work with me, then I welcome you to connect through my website: www.katiejanewellness.com
Self Appreciation

Self Appreciation

2020-11-0721:47

In this episode, I wanted to create some time and space for you, to listen to this loving self-appreciation meditation.  In all the ways you may give to others, and support others, may you also feel and receive this same appreciation from and within yourself.  And feel into ways you may also receive appreciation from others too.  I encourage you to take this time for you, and I hope you will enjoy listening in, and these words bring calm, ease, and appreciation and gratitude, for your whole wellbeing.  You can find more meditations to listen to, through my profile on Insight Timer: https://insighttimer.com/katiejane If you would like to continue a conversation with me, or to work with me, then I welcome you to connect through my website at: www.katiejanewellness.com
In this episode, I talk about giving to others, as part of self care, and essential for well-being.  In this self-help & self-improvement space, we can tend to focus on 'self' so much, and neglect that giving to others is so essential and needed.  To be of help and support to others, and that by doing so, we receive so much.  I hope you will enjoy listening in, and reflect on ways this resonates for you.  If you would like to continue a conversation, or to work with me, then I welcome you to connect through my website: www.katiejanewellness.com
In this episode I encourage us all to reflect on ways of being that feel right and true for our whole wellbeing.  This may be values, visions we hold, life statements, states of being - all that feels attainable and sustainable to lean into, through uncertainty and change, and all the seasons of life. Ways of being that feel steadfast as the core essence of who we are, a constant state within us that feels supportive to return to, to keep moving forward with trust and hope.  Enjoy listening in, and I'd love to hear your reflections.  x  If you would like to continue a conversation with me, or to work with me - I welcome you to connect through my website at: https://www.katiejanewellness.com/
In this episode, I talk about 'taking the pressure off' and the importance of this as part of wellbeing.  How letting go of any pressure, any expectations or outcomes, can allow us to feel and embody a sense of more calm and ease.  And to lean into things that we love simply because they fill us, uplift us, and bring us joy.  Doing things simply for the love of it, which I feel is even more important through any challenges, or times of uncertainty and change.  I hope you enjoy listening in and I'd love to hear your thoughts if you feel called to share.   If you would like to continue a conversation with me, or to work with me, then I welcome you to connect through my website at: www.katiejanewellness.com
