all of this was right on and so important and needed to be said, especially the discourse! however I will say it is illegal for compounding pharmacists to make something different than the product. if you're getting a compounded version of ozempic it's still the exact same. just wanted to offer that for people who may feel scared when hearing that.

So if you're wondering what is happening with the show, they announced on the patreon that they'll probably be doing a pause of episodes for the rest of the year. they said they wanted to be completely transparent about this, so they made the announcement in their paid only Patreon episodes not on social media or the free episodes. also, they’ll be continuing the paid episodes, just the free ones might pause or stop.

What I find frustrating about this author's account of weight gain is that the author first experienced weight gain in the middle of her teen years-- which is normal because that's when the body is under a tremendous amount of change (hormonally and physically) and requires nutrition because it's still growing. If she had been a boy her father would have probably called her a growing boy, not immediately called her a sack of potatoes--because young teenage girls have always been objectified and sexualized and put at the already unfair weight and beauty standards that sadly apply to all women. It's not just fatphobic but also has smacks of societal misogyny.

Today, I buy normal fat-content Lay's potato chips that literally have pictures of farms on them and advertise that the potatoes are like "hand selected from Idaho farms", in a way that is clearly meant to evoke a family farm. The use of family farm imagery to sell iunk-food or other mass-produced products is FASCINATING.
