This is the final episode of the series we've been chatting about this past month, Embracing the Good, Hard Life. This series was inspired by the realization that life is usually both good and hard at the same time. For a long time, Havilah thought she needed her life to change so she can get from the hard stuff to the good stuff. Today, Havilah is diving into mindset and why mindsets are important as we navigate life. She's sharing exactly what mindset it and the difference between a fixed and growth mindset. When we have a growth mindset, we realize we can continue to get better, be innovative, and solve problems. Having a growth mindset also allows us to view setbacks as temporary hurdles instead of things that take us out. Let's talk about what a growth mindset looks like and how we can incorporate that into our lives! Havilah shares what it means to her to embrace the good, hard life. Today, she's diving into embracing the good. It's so easy to constantly be thinking about the bad things going on in our lives. Did you know your brain is created and programmed to seek out danger and anything that could destroy you? Because of this, we tend to go into fight or flight and make sure we are safe. This is great when it comes to survival, but it's not great when it comes to every day life. But, there's strength in focusing on the good and the victories we have. Let's celebrate today. This whole month is about intentional behavior. We’re diving into how we build a life of intention and create behaviors that help us follow through on our intentions. Today, Havilah is diving into how to actually get your to-do list done. She will be discussing the importance of breaking your list into a smaller list and why this works better than having 20 things written down to do. R Researchers have suggested that we are more likely to get things done if the list only has about 3 things. In this episode, Havilah is sharing practical steps to take in order to actually achieve more in the long run by taking smaller steps. Havilah's Author School is BACK! Last week, we began talking about intentional behaviors. There's a lot of power when we choose to know why we're going somewhere, and then we gain a lot of momentum to go where we want to go! Today I want to share some things I’ve read and heard on this topic of being intentional with our why’s. They did this study and they begin to learn about this intrinsic motivation versus this extrinsic motivation. Intrinsic, which is like an internal motivation or an extrinsic, which is an external motivation. And they started to look at the difference and how people adjusted to that in their life. I hope you enjoy today’s episode and join me for the next ones!& as always, thanks for listening we hope you enjoyed it. Havilah's Author School is BACK! This month we are diving into a message Havilah shared at Bethel on a Mother’s Day. Here’s some of what she dives into: God knew that Mary's body would be a living sacrifice for him in the same way that his body would become a living sacrifice for us. So what happens when a woman walks in her full calling? She creates safe places in dangerous times, in a world that's full of conflict and danger and with things that can hurt us. A woman is spending her energy making sure that you are safe, that you have a safe place to land, and that you will be alive tomorrow. This week we are diving into a message Havilah shared at Bethel on Mother’s Day. Here’s some of what she dives into: Jesus was sent to Earth and he was sent to live in Mary before his feet ever touched the earth. Mary needed to only create a safe place for the Savior to be born and be developed. Mary was given a womb, and that womb would hold life. It would create life, and it would change the course of history. Some of us as women, we have forgotten that God didn't put us on the earth just to solve problems, but he's actually given us power to nurture. In fact, you as a woman, you are a nurturing powerhouse. You have an ability to contain and hold life and develop it until it is safe to be on the earth. Think about it; men and women are different. No matter what society says, men and women are different. We don't have to make conclusions about that. We can see simply just in our genetics, in our body, that there are differences that God created. Women are the only ones who create life. They're the only ones with wombs. I noticed that reading books is great but I really grew when I joined classes and there was accountability there. When I joined the Habit Lab earlier on this year, Jenna helped me by giving verbiage when I got stuck. There was permission we all got in this class knowing that we weren’t alone and there was a cycle and pattern we all personally had. I also realized we were going deep, and getting into our belief systems.  Today, we started a habit lab mastery course, The Habit Lab is a 10-week mentorship program to help create the right habits you need to finally live a life you love. You can join the waitlist for next round here: https://truthtotable.com/habit-lab/In this online mentorship program, you’ll be guided by habit coach Jenna Zint as she takes you through each step of her proven method for overcoming the obstacles that get in the way to being the person you truly want to be. Welcome back to another March Mindset series. Your thoughts are a reflection of the identity that you carry. You want to change your identity, change your thoughts. So, how do we begin to know that we are not doing well in our thoughts? What thoughts do we really want? What thoughts do we not want? We're going to talk about that today. Here's what's important. The Bible's really clear that in James 1:8, it says, "A double minded man is unstable in all his ways." I love what the Amplified says, "a double minded man is unstable and restless in all his ways, in everything he thinks, feels and decides." Are you dealing with a restlessness in what you're thinking about and what you're feeling and in your decisions? Then you're probably living double minded, and that means you want to live in two worlds at the same. In this episode Havilah is going deep and talking about the thoughts that we are currently having, how have we entertained these thoughts, and how they are affecting our lives. After listening to this episode, you will feel powerful to take control of your thoughts and know the steps you need to take to do so. Hope you join us all this month to dive into this topic and get practical steps. Have a great week and thanks so much for tuning in today! I am so grateful for God putting your podcast in my life! God is good. I relate to what you say on a deep level :D just something to maybe chew on... would you consider doing a podcast with a christian professional on addiction and families of adicts? there has been a huge struggle during covid for so.many of my loved ones with addiction. but I don't really know any reputable Christians who could give good counsel on the subject.

Havilah... thank you for this.. it spoke to me as a mum and a daughter! I think you did the right thing with I think it was Hudson's party!! I have be praying about and listening to God on this subject recently. Sadly my relationship with my mum hasn't been at its best.. I love her so much and have been so close all my life but recently it's changed. What could be so good seems to be a bit ruined. My mum has been insecure and strangely controlling..I can understand this as we have moved three hours away with the grandkids.. for ministry and believe Holy spirit has something great for us to do... but she is struggling as it really wasn't her plan. my mum has been a great mum but in this area it's been a struggle and therefore the relationship suffers.. we must surrender to God's ways even if not our plan... please pray for a restored relationship built on respect and freedom between us. 💗 She said she's mad at God... the sad thing is that I can sense her pressure through her prayers...
