OTM: Ep #14 - The Prodigy

2021-11-0301:25:23

This week, we're looking into The Prodigy. They are the kings of the UK big beat and electro music scene, masterfully blending elements of synth and rock to create a big atmospheric listening experience that transports you out to space. Their use of sampling and how they implement it into their music is also a factor that sets them apart from everyone else. The Prodigy started in a small bedroom and officially formed in Essex in 1990. Their breakout single "Charly" forever transformed rave and dance culture as we know it. The prodigy kid himself, Liam Howlett, produces and mixes all of the Prodigy songs with expertise. We also have dancer and singer Keith Flint, MC and singer Maxim, and dancer Leeroy Thornhill. Breathe with me as I take you through the formation of The Prodigy, how they made some of the best dance albums of all time, to where they are now.  Follow me for more music content, and how you can support OTM :) OTM Blog: https://onthemixpodcast.wordpress.com/blog/ Instagram: https://www.instagram.com/onthemixpodcast/ Donation/Tip: https://www.paypal.com/paypalme/onthemixpodcast
