In June 2020, allegations surfaced against disgraced comedian and actor Chris D’Elia. Although filming for his last film, Army of the Dead, had been done for months, the productions chose to spend millions to digitally remove and replace D’Elia with actress Tig Nataro. On May 31, 2014, in Waukesha, Wisconsin, United States, two 12-year-old girls, Anissa Weier and Morgan Geyser, lured their friend Payton Leutner into a forest and stabbed her 19 times in an attempt to become proxies of the fictional character Slender Man. Hollywood responded with 2 films, Beware The Slenderman (2016) and Slenderman (2018).
