Description

For so long I've looked past myself for healing. For someone to tell me what's wrong and how to fix it - OH - And which way to go. I never looked within. Until now... My name is Ki ("Key"). I have been dreaming of starting a podcast for a long time...

This is storytelling, connection, message, and reflection. We work together on a journey of healing from within. This is a work in progress! No music, no editing, no fabulous production. Just honest words for whomever needs to hear without the glamour and pizazz. Please, allow this process and growth as we embark on this new endeavor.

Rethinking Resilience

What if resilience isn’t about always being strong? What if the crying, the exhaustion, the doubt, the moments when you wanted to give up, and the times you just needed to stop and breathe are actually part of the story too? In this episode, I’m looking at resilience a little differently. We celebrate people for making it through, but we don’t always talk about what it cost them to get there. Sometimes resilience isn’t some big, powerful moment—it’s simply asking yourself, “Do I have one more step in me?” and finding a way to take it. This is a conversation about being tired, being human, allowing yourself to feel, and realizing that you don’t have to abandon yourself just because life got hard. What's resilience mean to you? ❤️
Have you ever caught yourself speaking fear over your own life without even realizing it? I have. In this episode, I share how losing my job sent me into one of the darkest places I'd ever experienced, and how I slowly began changing the conversation I was having with myself. We talk about manifestation, belief, knowing, and the power of becoming intentional about our healing. I'm not here to tell you that thinking positively will make everything work out. Life doesn't work that way. But I do believe we have a role in how we move forward, what we cultivate, and the stories we continue to tell ourselves. So let's talk about what you're planting, what you're speaking, and what healing might look like when you begin participating in your own journey. ❤️
Come to the Front, Young Lady — This one is for the young women who are still becoming, still figuring it out, still learning how to love themselves, trust themselves, and navigate this thing called life—and when I say young, I’m talking to the young at heart, too. Come to the front, because look at you… you made it. You have survived things you never thought you would, carried heartbreak, disappointment, confusion, loss, and moments when giving up felt easier than continuing, and yet—you’re still here. This episode is a reminder to pause and honor how far you’ve come, to remember that what you’ve survived does not get to define who you are or who you can become, and to know that you don’t have to have it all figured out, become someone else, or wait for permission to step fully into your life. So, to all my young ladies… come to the front. This is your moment to remember who you are. Take what serves you, and leave the rest. — Ki (Key)
Survival got me through some of the hardest seasons of my life. It taught me how to endure, adapt, stay vigilant, and keep moving no matter what. But what happens when the danger is gone and you're still living like the emergency never ended? In this episode, I reflect on growing up in survival mode, the ways those skills helped me, and the surprising realization that I had been making decisions based on a life I had already left behind. We talk about hypervigilance, rest, peace, and what it means to stop running from something and finally start moving toward something.Maybe survival isn't the destination. Maybe it's the bridge.
Some days, we need to be reminded of what we already know. This week, I needed those reminders too. So this episode is a quiet space to breathe, reflect, and reconnect with the truths we sometimes forget—that we are worthy, enough, allowed to rest, free to change, and fully capable. These aren't affirmations meant to convince you of something that isn't true. They're reminders of what has always been within you.And if you can't believe it today, borrow my belief in you until you can find your own.Take what serves you. Leave the rest.
