how do you know if you're actually healing?

healing is a part of life. the human experience is full of many things, but pain is the concept that scars us the most. we can't heal if we don't feel (this episodes discusses this further) but how do we know the difference between just simply feeling what wounded us, and actually healing from it? let's chat and find out 🫶 stay connected! https://linktr.ee/mindfullliving

think for yourself

we're often taught to think and act certain ways whether it's learned in school, at home, in your community, or environmental influences. what we aren't taught is how to think on our own. how to become the unique individuals we were designed to become. this episode I'm discussing, in depth, the dangers of group thinking and how to regain the strength to think for ourselves and trust our gut! Hope you enjoy 🫶 let's stay connected!! https://linktr.ee/mindfullliving

And yes.. being diagnosed with depression

grab a cup of joe because this one's a long one! ☕️ I made some renovations to the podcast and this is episode 1 of "mindfully, minding my business"! this episode is an intro into about what content can be expected in this podcast as well as sharing my diagnosis with depression and it's probably really not what you think it's about.. it's actually discussing in depth how being diagnosed help me better know how to fight. how to see clearly WHEN and HOW my body is lying to me. it's helped me not stay pigeon hold in the depression but actually give myself a fighting chance to get through it.  my hope is for this podcast to help you see diagnosis' in a different light and different perspective. ☕️

EP. 029 - "am I the problem?"

Hello beautiful humans, happy Monday! have you ever felt like your leading motivation to change or even get help or go to therapy is the question "am I the problem", or maybe you've asked yourself "what's wrong with me?" This weeks we're discussing the root of this question and it's origin based off of comparisons and socially acceptable standards that trap us into being defined and predictable rather than celebratory of what makes us stand out as unique individuals. Hope you enjoy! grab your favorite snack or beverage and lets chat ☕️ links to stay connected below! https://linktr.ee/mindfullliving

EP. 028 - healing: we want the miracle but not the process

have you ever found yourself believing for a miracle only to feel "let down"? Have you ever heard of miraculous stories and wondered "why doesn't anything like that ever happen to me?". Often times we hold on to these stories and miracles that happened on the spot or in a moment but we don't often hear about people loving a process. About pushing through when the going gets tough. We want the microwaved miracle, not the slow oven bake process. This weeks episode I'm deep diving into the value of walking through a process rather than an in-the-moment miracle. Miracles are real and amazing things, but the value of learning through a process and walking step by step through it will build something beyond just a moment. grab a cup of Joe and lets chat! Hope you enjoy!  Also don't forget to get connected through the links below!  https://linktr.ee/mindfullliving

EP. 027 - did God create me "to DO" or "to BE"?

Joining me today, is a creative friend of mine: Sophia Light (the face behind Spark Passion) and we're discussing, in depth, the struggles of being a creative and constantly feeling like production = productivity when in reality, why did God really create us in the first place? to produce? or to exist and dwell in the same space as us? A lot of times it's easy to get wrapped up in our routines, to do lists, accomplishments etc. but all those things aside, who are you really? are you okay with just simply existing? is that viewed as "good enough" in the eyes of God? because the world tends to tell us it's lazy and unproductive.. I hope you enjoy this week's episode, grab a cup of Joe (or you're fav snack/bev) and let's chat! ☕️ My links: https://linktr.ee/mindfullliving Sophia's links: https://linktr.ee/sparkpassion
