Auto Racing Outreach, founded and directed by Greg Berkey, has been providing chaplain ministry and fan outreach at racing venues and at various racing series for years all across North America. In this podcast, Roger Marsh, director of the National Fellowship of Raceway Ministries, visits with Greg about his call to ministry, the beginnings of Auto Racing Outreach, and his experiences with chaplain work and fan outreach. At the time of the podcast, Greg had just returned from a weekend of fan ministry at New Hampshire Motor Speedway during the summer 2021 NASCAR event. Through the course of the conversation, Greg also shares plans for ARO for the remainder of 2021, shares ideas for how someone could best support the ministry, and talks about the value of connecting with other ministries by participating in organizations such as the National Fellowship of Raceway Ministries. Greg also describes ministry that ARO is providing at Hickory Motor Speedway and Tri-County Speedway, and reveals some news about upcoming ARO sponsorship of a late model car driven by Allen Huffman at Hickory Motor Speedway.
