Crossroads Racing Ministry: Short Tracks, Kansas Speedway & in Needy Neighborhoods

National Fellowship of Raceway Ministries director Roger Marsh interviews Mark Penticuff, of Springfield, Missouri. Mark is founder and director of Crossroads Racing Ministry, which began as Mark stepped into the role of chaplain at a local dirt track. Shortly thereafter, Mark began racing at that same track, and then stepped up to racing Late Models and serving as chaplain with the "Show-Me Series." In the process, Mark began working with Kansas City Alliance Raceway Ministries, eventually becoming director of the ministry as they carry out their ministry at Kansas Speedway, on the Kansas side of KC. Amazingly, in the midst of his busy life as a high school teacher and tennis coach, Mark and his family also have set their ministry focus on some neighborhoods of needy folks on the north side of Springfield, MO, where Mark is remodeling a house and a garage for the purpose of restoring muscle cars, repairing cars for donation to needy families, and to doing repair on vehicles to keep needy families on the go. In this interview, Mark shares some incredibly important insights into effective ministry to racers at the short tracks and fans and others at major speedways, not to mention the value of reaching people in neighborhoods, far away from green and checkered flags.
