בעמדנו בפ' בהעלותך, הנה כאן המקום להזכיר ולעודד אודות פירוש הפנימי של "בהעלותך את הנרות" – להדליק את "נר הוי' נשמת אדם" של כ"א, מבלי הבט לאיזה מהז' הסוגים של בנ"י הוא משתייך, "עד שתהא שלהבת עולה מאילי'", ובאופן של "אל מול פני המנורה שבעת הנרות" – לקשר את כ"א עם פנימיותו. זה קשור במיוחד עם מבצע נש"ק, כמ"ש במדרש "אם שמרתם נרות של שבת אני מראה לכם נרות של ציון" – "בהעלותך את הנרות" בפשטות, אבל באופן כללי ה"ז קשור עם הפצת היהדות בכלל, מתחיל עם המבצעים הכלליים: מבצע אהבת כל ישראל (שכ"א מהם הוא בדוגמת "כהן גדול"), וכאמור – מבלי הבט לאיזה מהז' סוגים הוא משתייך, ומזה באים לשאר המבצעים: חינוך (ובענין שהזמ"ג – לרשום ילדים במחנות-קיץ וכו'), תורה, תפילין, מזוזה, צדקה, "בית מלא ספרים", נש"ק, כשרות, טהרת המשפחה. וכ"ז – באופן של "מלכתחילה אַריבער".

The week of Parashah Behaalosecha is an appropriate time to call attention to and to emphasize and encourage with regards to the inner meaning of “When you kindle the lamps” – to kindle the “lamp of Hashem, the soul of man,” the soul of every Jew, regardless of which of the seven kinds of Jews he belongs to – to kindle it “until the flame rises by itself,” and in such a way that “the seven lamps shall shine toward the face of the menorah,” connecting a Jew to his inner core. This has a particular connection the Shabbos candles campaign, as the Midrash says, “If you keep the Shabbos, candles, I will show you the candles of Tzion” – the “kindling of the lamps” literally, with the coming of Moshiach. In a broader sense, the parashah relates to spreading Yiddishkeit in general, starting with the general Mitzvah Campaigns: the campaign to love every Jew (each of whom is like a “Kohen Gadol”), regardless of which of the seven types of Jews he belongs to – and from this comes the other campaigns: Jewish education (which is especially timely because people are now registering their children for summer and camp and school etc.), Torah study, tefillin, mezuzah, tzedakah, “a house full of sefarim,” Shabbos candles, kosher, and family purity – and all of this in a manner of m’lchatchilah ariber.
