דבר טוב נכון ונחוץ ביותר שלאורחים שהגיעו או יגיעו לכאן – יהיו קביעות עתים לתורה, לכה"פ פעם ביום ופעם בלילה, ומה טוב – בענינים שהזמן גרמא (הן בנגלה והן בחסידות). ושיפעלו כן גם על ה"תושבים" הקבועים (שידעו שגם הם רק "אורחים" בעוה"ז, ועליהם להשתתף בשיעורים...). ואין צורך להאריך בגודל הענין, ומכיון ש"הקב"ה עוזרו" יש לכ"א היכולת לזה, ואין הדבר תלוי אלא ברצון; בודאי שעניני ה"אש"ל" של האורחים מסודרים, ואשרי חלקם של המתעסקים בזה, והרי "גדולה הכנסת אורחים יותר מקבלת פני השכינה". כדי שלא יהי' ענין של "קדירא דבי שותפי" כדאי שיהי' אחראי א' ע"ז ואליו יצורפו עוזרים; יש לעורר על ההתעסקות בחמשת המבצעים – תורה, תפילין, מזוזה, צדקה ו"בית מלא ספרים"; הנני לבקש מאלו שזכו והם "טאַנקיסטין" ועוסקים במבצעים אלו – שיגשו לגשת דולרים ע"מ לחלק דולר א' לצדקה לכל המסובים.

It is good, proper and necessary for the Orchim to have fixed times for Torah study, at least once by day and once by night – and especially to learn topics related to this time of year, in both Nigleh and Chassidus. This should also have an affect on the “residents” who live here (so they should know that they are merely “guests” in this world, and they, too, should participate in the learning), and there is no need to elaborate on the importance of the matter. Since “the Holy One, blessed be He, assists him,” everyone certainly has the ability to do so, and it depends only on one’s desire. Great is the merit of those taking care of the “Eshel” needs of the Orchim, for “Welcoming guests is greater than greeting the Shechinah.” And to ensure it doesn’t become “a pot belonging to partners,” there should be one person in charge, with others helping him. Additionally, to encourage the efforts in the five Mivtzaim – Torah, Tefillen, Mezuza, Tzedakah, and Bayis Malei Sefarim – I ask the “Tankistim” to come forward and receive dollars for tzedakah to distribute to everyone present.
