1) בחמישי בסיון אמרו ישראל "נעשה ונשמע" ובאופן שהקדימו נעשה לנשמע – אע"פ שזהו היפך הסדר ד"עם חכם ונבון", כי הביטול ד"נעשה" הוא מצד פנימיות הנפש, ואח"כ זה נמשך גם בכחות הנפש – בהבנה והשגה וכו', "נשמע". בנוגע לפועל: מכיון ש"הימים האלה נזכרים ונעשים", צ"ל בחמישי בסיון קבלה מחדש לקיים את כל פרטי המצוות באופן ד"הקדמת נעשה לנשמע". זוהי ההכנה לקבלת התורה בחה"ש, וזה נמשך באופן קיום המצוות במשך השנה כולה. 2) אמחז"ל "בשעה שהקדימו ישראל נעשה לנשמע באו .. מלאכי השרת וקשרו לכאו"א מישראל ב' כתרים וכו'". וההוראה: לכל יהודי יש את הכח שכל הענינים שמקבל ע"ע בחה"ש יהיו באופן של "הקדמת נעשה לנשמע", ועי"ז מתגלה ה"כתר" שבכל א', עד שכ"א נעשה בבחי' "מלכים הם", ומתנהג בפועל באופן ש"אמר מלכא – עקר טורא", כולל היצה"ר ש"נדמה להם כהר" וכו'. החלטה זו בה' בסיון היא הכנה מתאימה לקבלת התורה וכו'.

(1) On the fifth of Sivan, the Jewish people said, “We will do and we will hear,” putting “we will do” before “we will hear.” Though they are a “wise and understanding people” this self-abnegation to first “do” comes from the inner core of the soul; only afterwards is it expressed in the soul’s faculties, “we will hear.” In practical terms: Since “these days are remembered and observed,” on the fifth of Sivan one must accept upon himself anew to fulfill all the mitzvos in every detail, and in such a way that “we will do” comes before “we will hear”; this is the way to prepare for receiving the Torah on Shavuos, and for it to continue this way in in one’s performance of the mitzvos throughout the entire year. (2) Our sages said, “When the Jewish people put ‘we will do’ before ‘we will hear’…the ministering angels came and tied two crowns upon every Jew….” The lesson is that every Jew has the power to cause everything he accepts upon himself on Shavuos to be done in such a way that “we will do” comes before “we will hear,” and thereby to reveal the “crown” within himself, to the point that every Jew becomes a “king” (“They are kings”) – “At the kings word, a mountain is uprooted,” including the evil inclination that “appears to them like a mountain” etc. Making this resolution on the fifth of Sivan is an appropriate way to prepare for receiving the Torah etc.
