בחמישי דפ' קרח מדובר אודות האופן שבו הסירו את תלונות בנ"י בנוגע לענין הכהונה – עי"ז ש"פרח מטה אהרן לבית לוי ויוצא פרח ויצץ ציץ ויגמול שקדים", ופרש"י "שקדים הוא הפרי הממהר להפריח מכל הפירות". וההוראה: כללות עבודת בנ"י בהפצת היהדות והמעיינות צ"ל באופן של שקידה ("שקדים") – מיד לאחרי שמחליט להתעסק בזה כבר אינו מוצא מנוחה לעצמו, אלא הולך לחפש יהודי נוסף שיוכל לפעול עליו. וכמו שכאן נהי' הענין ד"ויגמול שקדים" בפועל, עד"ז צריך ההשפעה על הזולת להביא למעשה ש"הוא העיקר", ועד ש"ויגמול שקדים" – גם המושפע נעשה "שקדים" – "טופח ע"מ להטפיח". ועוד.
