[המשך] דוקא ע"י ההכרה שכל ההצלחה באה מה' מביאים באמת "ברכה אל ביתך". בחיצוניות אמנם זה לא נראה כך, שהרי לגוי יש לחם בלי להפריש חלה, אבל מראה חיצוני זה הוא "עבודה-זרה", וזה נראה כך רק כדי שיהודי בבחירתו ידע ויגלה את ה"אמת ה' לעולם" – שה' הוא הבעה"ב על העולם ו"אין עוד מלבדו". טעות זו, כאילו הענינים הטבעיים לא נשלטים ע"י ה', מבטל היהודי לא כ"כ ע"י לימוד התורה וקיום המצוות אלא עי"ז שגם כאשר "עובד בשדה" וכיו"ב יודע שפרנסתו באה רק מה'. וזהו מ"ש "המקיים מצות חלה כאילו ביטל עבודה זרה" (שמזה משמע שלפני הביטול זה קיים), כי מצ"ע יש לעולם וחוקי הטבע מראה של "זרות" לאלקות, ו"זרות" זו מבטל היהודי ע"י ש"ראשית עריסותיכם" שהשיג בדרכי הטבע נותן לה' – ש"מכריז" ומגלה שגם האמת של עניני הטבע והחול אינו אלא אלקות (והמבטל מצות חלה ח"ו נותן קיום למראה "זרות" זה). ועיקר קיום מצוה זו נמסר לנשי ובנות ישראל!

[Continued.] It is specifically by recognizing that all success comes from Hashem that one truly brings “blessing into your home.” On the surface, it doesn’t seem that way, because a non-Jew has bread even without separating Challah; but this external appearance is avodah zarah (“foreign service”); it is foreign from the truth. It only appears this way so that a Jew, with his free choice, can recognize and reveal that Hashem is the Master of Universe and “there is none besides Him.” A Jew nullifies this mistaken appearance of the world not so much by studying Torah and performing mitzvos, but by recognizing, even when “working in the field” etc., that his livelihood comes only from Hashem. Therefore the Sages said, “One who fulfills the mitzvah of Challah is considered as though he nullified avodah zarah” (which implies that before he performed the mitzvah, there was avodah zarah): the world has its nature that appears “foreign” to G-dliness, and the Jew nullifies that “foreignness” by giving the “first portion of your dough” – which seems to come via natural means – to Hashem, thereby proclaiming and revealing that in really, the entire world, including the goyishkeit within it, all comes from Hashem. (Conversely, one who neglects the mitzvah of Challah chas v’shalom upholds this appearance of “foreignness”). And the mitzvah of Challah is primarily entrusted to Jewish women and girls.
