Ariel 是部門裡的新成員。今天她的任務量已經排滿，正努力趕專案時，

同事 Ben 突然走過來求幫忙。Ariel 必須用 polite refusal English 來處理這個狀況。



Dialogue – English



Ben: Hey Ariel, do you have a moment? I need some help with this table.

Ariel: I’d love to help, but I’m really swamped right now.

Ben: It’s just a quick favor, I promise.

Ariel: The thing is, I have a few tasks with strict deadlines today.

Ben: Oh, I see. Maybe you can take a look later?

Ariel: I’ll check if I can squeeze it in and get back to you.



（與主管對話）

Manager: Ariel, can you prepare a short update for the afternoon meeting?

Ariel: I’m concerned I might not keep up with everything I’m handling right now.

Manager: Could you at least write the main points?

Ariel: I can try, but I don’t want to rush and produce something incomplete.

Manager: That makes sense. I’ll assign it to someone else.

Ariel: Thanks for your understanding.



Dialogue – 翻譯

Ben： Ariel，你現在有空嗎？我需要你幫我看一下這個表格。

Ariel： 我很想幫忙，但我現在真的忙到炸掉。

Ben： 就一個小忙啦，很快的。

（與主管對話）

主管： Ariel，下午開會可以幫我準備一份簡短報告嗎？

Ariel： 我怕我現在的任務量太多，可能沒辦法全部跟得上。

主管： 那至少先寫重點可以嗎？

Ariel： 我可以試，但怕會太趕導致內容不完整。

主管： 也對，那我改分給別人。
