Combat, the setting for most interactions in Magic. Also, one of the easiest places to make a mistake. We break down the combat phase into its discreet steps, explain some of the tricks that can be performed, including our namesake, and hopefully clarify some of the more subtle interactions with trample, lifelink and regeneration.
